Scott MacIntyre is one of the most promising contestants of American Idol Season 8. MacIntyre was born on June 22nd, 1985 and is visually impaired. Besides being a singer he is also a songwriter and a pianist.
MacIntyre, one of the finalists of American Idol season 8, is not completely blind. He suffers from a blindness that only allows him a tunnel vision, which has only a two-percent field of vision. In the term of medical science this is known as Leber's congenital amaurosis.
Scott began his career at a very young age. He recorded for his first album when he was a kid. Since the age of 11, Scott has recorded 5 CDs. At the age of 15, he made his orchestral debut as he performed with the Phoenix Symphony as a guest piano soloist.
