Watchmen is a superhero film based on the 1986 comic book limited series of the same name by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. Set in 1985, the plot of the film follows the story of a group of former vigilantes as tautnesses heighten between the United States and the Soviet Union. Richard Nixon is the present president then. The vigilante Rorschach is looking into the murder of a former hero through legal investigations, the Comedian, and exposes a plot to disgrace and murder various heroes. Rorschach discovers a far wider-ranging confederacy involving his colleagues' past which could completely change the course of history.
