"Slumdog Millionaire", the rags to riches tale of a Mumbai slum dweller, have came out as a hot favorite in every award show. It has already won two golden globes and have been nominated in 10 categories in Oscar 2009 before winning the top prize at the 15th Screen Actors Guild awards on Sunday. The movie that showcases a host of amateur young actors in Mumbai's slums, won for best ensemble cast and received only one individual nomination from the actors guild, for Dev Patel. The prize, which is equivalent to best picture from the guild, follows top honors at the Golden Globes and the Producers Guild Awards. Slumdog Millionaire seems to have a fair chance in bagging a few awards during the Oscar night.
