On top of the best film category there are much speculations going on for films like Milk and Frost/Nixon. These are the films that the rest of the contenders should really worry about. In the case of Frost/Nixon it seems Frank Langella, Ron Howard, the script by Peter Morgan and the film itself were penciled in before anyone even saw the film. So a big question lies here is that whether it really has an Oscar caliber production or not? Although Milk could be one of the strongest contenders it wasn't even nominated for the Golden Globes in the Best Picture category. The other films that might bag a nomination at the 81st Academy Awards could be The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Dark Knight and Slumdog Millionaire. Slumdog seems to have a strong chance after winning 4 golden globes.
