Career
Director Stanley Donen signed her to appear as Michael Caine's love interest in the romantic comedy film Blame It on Rio. The movie was notable at the time for Johnson, who had several topless scenes and one full frontal nude scene showing her pubic hair.

Johnson was born in Anchorage, Alaska to a homemaker mother and a psychologist father.
From 1999 to 2002, Johnson was married to Major League Baseball player Matt Williams. In 2002 she filed for divorce due to irreconcilable differences. The couple had no children and by 2003 the divorce was final as he was engaged to another woman.
