Michael Strahan

Michael Anthony Strahan (pronounced /STRAY-han/) (born November 21, 1971 in Houston, Texas), is a former American football defensive end who played for the New York Giants of the National Football League. He played High School Football at Westbury High School. He played college football at Texas Southern University and was drafted in the second round of the 1993 NFL Draft by the New York Giants. Strahan was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year by the Associated Press in 2001. He has also co-written an autobiography titled Inside the Helmet: Life as a Sunday Afternoon Warrior.
