Kara Monaco Kara Monaco (born February 26, 1983 in Lakeland, Florida) is an American model. She was chosen as Playmate of the Month by Playboy magazine in June, 2005. She appeared on the cover of the June 2006 issue of Playboy as the Playmate of the Year 2006, the first PMOY in three years to do so (the most recent being Dalene Kurtis in 2002). She is the first Miss June ever to become PMOY. She received $100,000, a car, and a sports motorbike for being named as PMOY. She is not related to Kelly Monaco, Miss April 1997.
