Cuoco was born in Camarillo, California to Gary Carmine Cuoco, an Oxnard, California, realtor, and wife Layne Ann Wingate, a homemaker, and has a younger sister named Briana. She was home schooled on the set and earned her High School Diploma at the age of 16. She now lives in San Fernando Valley, California with her German Shepherd named Duke and her Chihuahua-dachshund mix dog named Petey.
