Jennifer Stone was born in Arlington, Texas. She began her stage career at the age of six, after watching her brother in theatre productions. She signed on to an agency at eight, and began auditioning for commercials.

Stone's big break came when she was in the pool Cinema's Secondhand Lions alongside Haley Joel Osment. She received a nomination for her role in Seconhand Lions as well as a nomination for her 2005 guest appearance on House M.D. She also guest appeared on Line of Fire and Without a Trace. In February 2007, she joined the main cast of Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place as Harper. She will also be appearing in the new Disney Channel Original Movie Dadnapped. She has been creating YouTube videos with co-star and friend, Selena Gomez.
