Wasson grew up in Irving, Texas and entered modeling after winning the Fashion!Dallas Kim Dawson model search during her junior year in high school. From there, she landed jobs in local and later national advertisements. After appearing in ads for Gucci, she was involved in her first campaign for Dolce & Gabbana in 2002. In July of that year, Wasson signed a contract with makeup giant Maybelline, which she still holds today. In 2006, Wasson worked on an advertising campaign for El Corte Inglés, and was featured on the front cover and in a multi-page article in the February 2006 issue of Esquire. She appeared in advertisement campaigns for Gucci, Chanel, Armani, Donna Karan, Michael Kors, Celine, Blumarine, H & M, and others. From 2001 until recently, she was a highly indemand runway model, working in Milan, London, Paris, and New York, doing shows including Chanel, Versace, Alexander McQueen, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, and Gucci.
