Henrie was born in Los Angeles, California. He grew up in Arizona and is the brother of actor Lorenzo Henrie. He went to school at Cheyenne Traditional School in Scottsdale, Arizona. Henrie has dated Lucy Hale, who played, his character Justin Russo's girlfriend in Wizards of Waverly Place.
He is good friends with Wizards of Waverly Place co-star Selena Gomez, Kyle Massey, and also best friends with the Jonas Brothers.
