Born and raised in Newport Beach, California, Bree Conden is part of a large family. Her mother, who is an alumna and professor at a California university, has been very supportive of Conden's dreams of acting and modeling. In May 2002, at the age of sixteen, Conden's mother drove her to audition for the role of Kara van Dael, a supporting role in the movie Raspberry & Lavender. Conden made such an impression that she was asked to attend a dinner with producers where she was asked to read the script out loud in the International House of Pancakes restaurant. She landed the lead role of Mandi Carson.
