Born in Midwest City, Oklahoma to Randall (a pharmacist) and Karen Lindvall, she was raised in Lee's Summit, Missouri at attended Lee's Summit High School. She is currently married to a professional diver William Edwards. They married 2001, and have two sons, William Dakota (b.2002) and Sebastian (b.2005).

Angela is the sister to the late model Audrey Lindvall. On August 2, 2006, Audrey Lindvall, an IMG model, was struck and killed by a truck in Lee's Summit, Missouri, while out on a bicycle ride with a friend.
