It’s been confirmed by David Daniel Otunga, Jr., the representative of Jennifer Hudson on Monday that Oscar winner and singer has given birth to a baby boy. The new born, who came in at 7 pounds, 14 ounces was named after Hudson’s fiancé more popularly known as punk.
In a statement to the media Hudson’s representative said, “The baby is beautiful and perfect. His parents are ecstatic”.
Hudson did not make a public announcement of her pregnancy. It was during her inaugural tour of the U.S rumors began to spread that she was expecting after she appeared to be showing. And the singer also appeared visibly pregnant while she was performing at the memorial service for Michael Jackson last month.
The Hollywood Reporter mentioned that the happy parents to the new born did not try to find out the sex of the child as they wanted it to be a surprise for them. But the proud couple was also prepared with pink and blue clothes. Close sources have mentioned that Hudson had prepared with a baby shower in her native Chicago two months ago for the birth of the baby.
The couple possibly did not speak about Hudson’s pregnancy in public due to the recent mishap of the family tragedy, when her mother, brother and nephew were murdered. The separated husband of Hudson’s sister, William Balfour, has been charged in the murders and is awaiting trial.

Freda Payne, Thelma Houston, and K.C. Casey on American Idol final 7 results show
by doyeeta on Apr.23, 2009, under American Idol, Music, TV, performances, songs
Tuesday night on American idol results show, there were Freda Payne, Thelma Houston, and K.C. Casey apart from the contestants. But the performances were pretty bad. If they were contenders, Simon Cowell would have definitely criticized.
Freda Payne performed ¨Band of Gold¨ after Lil Rounds and Anoop Desai were eliminated during American idol final 7 results show. She looked superb, and was full of energy, but her vocals were not up to the mark. In fact, she was pathetic with the song. Then came Thelma Houston in a too-small yellow dress and sang ¨Don´t Leave Me This Way.¨ It was a little better than Payne´s performance, but it was awkward. Up next was Harry Wayne ¨K.C.¨ Casey in a ridiculous red shirt. He was clumsy and his vocals were weak as he performed ¨Get Down Tonight.¨
American Idol has had performances from star singers such as Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, and Kayne West, all of who are at the peak of their careers. After them it was really boring to take Tuesday night´s guest performances.
Former American idol runner-up David Archuleta returned to the ¨Idol¨ stage to perform his recent single ¨Touch My hands.¨ He showed that getting second place is not all that bad. Following his performance, he also offered encouraging words to bottom three finishers Anoop Desai and Allison Iraheta.

Miley Cyrus´s film ¨Hannah Montana: The movie¨ is at No. 1. So it is apt that she performed on the TV reality show which is at No. 1. And she was superb.
Wednesday night´s American Idol results show had the Disney star perform her hit single ¨The Climb,¨ soundtrack from her latest movie. It was a great performance, and Miley looked stunningly cute in her white beaded gown. With all the smoke around her, she looked like a prom queen. American idol host Ryan says she’s “dominating the entire entertainment industry.”
The other guest performer at yesterday´s American Idol was Golden Globe and Oscar winning actress Jennifer Hudson, who is also a Grammy award winning singer. On the American Idol stage, she performed her single ¨If This Isn´t Love¨ from her latest self-titled album. That was another great performance.
Coming to the contestants, Matt Giraud was saved by the judges after getting very less votes from the viewers. He finished in the bottom three along with co-contestants Anoop Desai and Lil Rounds.

It was the vote out night at American Idol. And instead of sending one home, one of the top 7 contestants were saved. The viewers decided that Matt Giraud was not meritorious enough for the show and gave him lowest number of votes. But American Idol sparked another surprise by giving him a second chance by the four “Idol” judges on Wednesday night.
The “good news” was announced by Simon Cowell. He hesitantly declared that the 23 year old piano player was saved by the voting power of the 4 judges. As Cowell, Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi gave Giraud the good news, the American Idol finalist stood up to perform Bryan Adams’ 1995 hit, “Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman“. The viewers would see him for another week now.
Although this was a grand news for Matt Giraud, but Cowell also warned that, “two people will be going home next week“. When this new rule was brought into the show, it was already announced then that this new twist will not only change the show but also make it a lot difficult. The new rule allowed the judges to use their save a contestant, who have been voted out by the audience, by using their veto power. But the judges can use this power only once and as long as there are five or more contestants. The judges had to use their veto power by coming week.
One of the primary highlight of American Idol’s last episode was the return of former AI contestant turned Oscar winner actor Jennifer Hudson. Although miss Hudson did not win the American Idol title, yet she went on to prove her talent as one of the most successful contestants to come out of the FOX reality series.
Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Quentin Tarantino on ‘American Idol’ for “Idols at the Movies”
by anamus on Apr.10, 2009, under Entertainment, Music, Shows, TV, performances, song, songs, spotlight, stage, stardom
The theme of American Idol’s next week’s episode would be “Idols at the Movies“. The episode will feature Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, and Quentin Tarantino on the show as the 7 top finalists sing along “songs of the cinema“.
It would be great watching the trip lend a support to their favorite contestants. Miley has already said that she is very fond of Allison Iraheta and has been texting her. This will surely earn Iraheta more votes from all Miley fans. Miley will be perform the very popular song “The Climb“.
The fans are eagerly waiting to see Jennifer Hudson’ on the American Idol show after the singer went through a lot of turmoil in 2008. She’ll be singing her latest hit single, “If This Isn’t Love“.
Director Quentin Tarantino has been a part of American Idol in the last season as a guest judge. And this year he is back again as a celebrity mentor. Folks just wait to watch Quentin and and out favorite Adam Lambert interact. Keep your fingers crossed as we don’t yet know what song Adam will pick.
Quentin is the best choice for this episode where the top 7 contestants will be performing songs from Movies. He knows music as much as he knows film. Most of his films encompass iconic moments in that are linked to pop songs. It now seems that the man who made John Travolta and David Carradine look cool will now give an edge to Anoop Desai.

Jennifer Hudson’s GAP campaign
by angana on Nov.14, 2008, under clothes, launches, lines, modelling
Jennifer Hudson has moved on with her life. She currently features in a new Holiday campaign with the GAP. In the Ad, Hudson is smiling and she wears a red sweater. Hudson who was in hiding recently after she went through a tragic family slain affair. The ad launch features her as cheery.
Hudson was given full freedom to back out. According to Gap spokesperson Olive Doyne, “She said she wanted to be a part of it and that we should move forward.” Hudson was photographed for the ad by Michael Thompson back in July in New York City. Hudson had conveyed her best wishes and blessings so that the clothing-store giant was assured of her wish to use her image.
The timing for the ad might not seem appropriate to many, but the real picture is Hudson has to move on with her life. She cannot sit mourning away her time. The ad uses the tagline “Shine Your Own Star,” seems apt since Hudson begins with a new shine. She needs this launch more than GAP. The ad can be seen in magazines and newspapers and on billboards in New York and Los Angeles.
