Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

Are you still holding on to your seats tightly?  You might just have got bowled over by Heidi Klum comeback cat walk, who stole the show with her sex appeal once again. Klum simply put the ramp on fire at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show – A show where angels dare to bare!

Its been 5 weeks the supermodel gave birth to her forth child, and she made all her fans awestruck by making a comeback to the runway at the Victoria’s Secret lingerie fashion show Thursday night at the 69th Regiment Armory.

A reliable source mentioned Klum said at the backstage before the show began that she preferred to play a host instead of modeling because she “wasn’t quite ready yet. This kind of takes a lot of planning. When you have a baby, you can’t really know if in five weeks’ time you’re like everyone else over here”.

When the mother model was asked about her newest addition, daughter Lou, she said, “She’s great. We’re so excited that we had a little girl. Especially (older daughter) Leni is super-excited. (Lou’s) in our room at night. Leni is waiting for her to go into her room. Her brothers share a room and she doesn’t have anyone in her room”.

The 36 year old German Model, Klum, earlier was scheduled to host the desired fashion show on November 18. But she walked down the runway on November 19 simply enthralling the crowd. Klum wore a corset and full skirt instead of a bikini. But who cares to choose!

“You have less pressure. You definitely have less pressure when you don’t shake your booty in front of millions around the world”, Klum was quoted by the People magazine as saying about only hosting the show.

During the show, the models flashing in two part under wears, walked down a jet-black, diamond-dusted V-shaped runway while the Black Eyed Peas performed. The show began with Ambrosio walking first in neon wings, with Miranda Kerr following in over sized space-like armored wings along with Peas’ Boom Boom Pow.

Ambrosio, who was lounged on a sofa before the show, said, “I have three houses and they are packed with lingerie. I don’t even try to count”. Girl, this proves you simply love your job.

The Victoria’s Secret fashion show will be aired on December 1st on CBS at 10 p.m.

Robert Pattinson

Did you find anything unusually similar between “Twilight’s” Edward Cullen and bad boy James Dean? Yes, you are right, its the perfect hair, grizzling looks and outcast persona of the most handsome vampire on-screen. The look of the vampire in Twilight was much influenced from the “Rebel Without a Cause” said Robert Pattinson.

“‘Rebel Without a Cause’ was a big influence on the first ‘Twilight’ film — it influenced the hairdo and stuff. In lots of ways, it has a very similar character arc: An everyday girl brings this relatively strange individual out of his slump”, the actor said in an interview with USA Today.

Pattinson has an image, which is quite similar to James Dean. Right after his Twilight release Rob became the heartthrob of millions of women from all over the world. In a past interview the 23 year old actor was quoted as saying that he does not feel very comfortable handling all the attention and fame the character “Edward Cullen” brought to him.

“I’m not entirely sure what it is. I’ll probably realize afterward how I could have controlled it a little bit more. But I am still like a deer in headlights”, said Pattinson.

Rob also admitted the fact that a large section os his fans are ardent readers of the “Twilight” series of books. And they all could relate his so much with the bookish character that it became difficult for them to distinguish between the actor and Edward Cullen most of the time.

“Right at the beginning, everyone just called me Edward. I don’t really mind either way. There’s something about that character that, for some reason, has sparked an interest in massive degrees in so many different people”, Rob added.

The actor also said, “If you want to compete with your own character, you have to really fight. I don’t know if I could be bothered to fight. I just let it go by.”

The forthcoming sequel of the popular vampire series, “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”, is all set to hit theatres on November 20.

Your outfit will look strikingly different from those of others with a stringy wig, torn clothes and some creepy teeth and contacts and you’ll send people running to the hills!

Watchmen

Any costume from the film would be an obvious challenge, but the most difficult one surely would be Dr. Manhattan. You have to find a blue body paint since hypothermia should cover the blue-skin end of the costume. Just remember to cover your junk, or you’ll get arrested.

Whitney Houston

It was an embarrassing moment for the once labeled Queen of Pop, Whitney Houston. She faced a wardrobe malfunctioning on Sunday night’s X-Factor.

This was a clean comeback for Houston from drug abuse and her troubled marriage with singer Bobby Brown. But she was soon faced with another harsh setback raving much controversy. The pop crooner appeared on Oprah Winfrey show’s premiere season, which seemed to be a dramatic comeback for her. Houston then attended Sunday night’s X-Factor, which is a British reality music talent show, where she faced an awkward wardrobe malfunctioning.

Houston’s dress strap tore in the back while she performed her new single, “Million Dollar Bill”, on stage. Just before the mis-hap, the singer seemed in a little discomfort in long sparkly silver dress, which poorly fitted in the back. Thankfully Houston was luckier than Janet Jackson, and her wardrobe malfunctioning did not reveal anything. While in Jackson’s case it was as embarrassing as a nip-slip.

Whitney Houston managed the mis-hap well and continued with her performance. At a post performance interview the singer was quoted as saying, “I sang myself out of my clothes”.

The singer seemed very confused and did not have answers prepared to most of the questions aimed at her. Houston was almost out of breath and couldn’t give answers to simple questions related to her tour and album. The 46 year old singer seemed to have lost her temper due to the wardrobe malfunctioning while she performed her new single “Million Dollar Bill”.

Levi Johnston

We don’t yet have any confirmed news of whether Levi Johnston is going to show his front of backside naked for his upcoming photo shoot with Playgirl magazine. But we are certain that the 19 year old, father of one, does not want to take any chance. Johnston is currently busy working out to look good from all sides for his upcoming Playgirl spread just in case he has to pose from all sides. The star has hired a personal trainer with whom he is working out hard 6 days a week for the past three weeks.

Johnston agreed to do a photo shoot with Playgirl about a month back. His representative have not given any information on how much the star will charge for this photo shoot, which will happen soon sometime this month.

“Team Levi is in the process of preparing for his Playgirl appearance. He is in the gym six days a week for the next three weeks”, confirmed Johnston’s lawyer, Rex Butler. Johnston, who rose to fame after making Palin’s teen daughter, Bristol, pregnant last year, is all set to bare his clothes for the upcoming issue of Playgirl. The parents of the the 9 month old, Tripp, are now separated.

In a recent issue of GQ magazine Johnston appeared shirtless with his daughter Tripp, besides appearing in a witty TV commercial for a peanut company. Johnston acted as an escort to comedian Kathy Griffin in the Teen Choice Awards held in August.

Although Johnston is following actor Burt Reynolds’ footsteps for the photo shoot, it has not yet been revealed whether he too would pose on a bearskin rug wearing a broad smile, like the actor.

Kim Kardashian got an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction scare at the Emmy Awards this year. She buzzed on twitter while freaking out about the zip popping out.

“”FASHION EMERGENCY! My zipper on my gown just all popped & broke on my way 2 Emmy’s! My stylist is meeting me there but I’m FREAKING OUT!!!” tweeted Kim in panic. But the situation was soon rescued by brave soldiers of the fashion world with threads and needles. The tailor present in the green room saved the dress from totally tearing away.

Kim then tweets – “… Ok tailor & stylist on site! They will have to sew my dress on me! DEEP BREATH! … Almost done sewing. …”. And then she appeared in the ivory white one shoulder asymmetrical outfit which looked totally like she was born in it. Hail the wonders of the sew and tuck!

Dress malfunction are not new news, but the way these incidents are occurring, it is alarming. Good that these events have a tailor on the venue.

Anyways, moving on with the Kim-Watch, she didn’t give any interviews on the red carpet! Now is that weird or what? The girl who features in hollywood gossip now and then. Got somethin’ to hide, missy?

Anyways, maybe she doesn’t want to answer another question about her sister Khloe who is going to take her wedding vows soon.

Her other sister, Kourtney Kardashian was around though. With Kim on the red carpet she looked divine in a steel-grey flowing gown from BCBG which accentuated her seven-month pregnant body. She did give a little interview to E! saying “It’s challenging but I still try to be fashionable.” Damn right, she does look beautiful with her hair down and pretty eyes.

Anand Jon Alexander

Anand Jon Alexander, the Indian-US celebrity fashion designer was sentences to 59 years of life imprisonment. The charge against the fashion designer was of sexual assault of seven young girls he made false promises to offer modeling jobs.

Alexander, who played his own lawyer, had presented a long argument pleading a new trial. The reason he stated for his plead was juror and prosecutorial misconduct and poor defense by his former attorneys. Judge David Wesley although denied every request of Alexander.

Alexander took part in reality television show “America’s Next Top Model” as a guest designer. During this time in last year November, he was convicted of 16 charges of rape, sexual assault and other crimes.Deputy Dist. Atty. Frances Young added that the sentence given to Alexander was perfect given the “aggravated nature of the crimes and the horrible torment on a number of victims”.

“I was 14. You took my adolescence, my trust, my dream and completely manipulated them for your sexual desires”, one of the victims read out from her statement.

The 35 year old fashion designer was one of the most upcoming names in the fashion world in 2007 before his arrest. Alexander was then designing clothes for celebrities such as Paris Hilton and Mary J. Blige. He was also selected as a person to watch by Newsweek magazine.

Stefania Fernandez from Venezuela is Miss Universe 2009

The glittering evening of Miss Universe 2009 was held at the Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas in West Indies on 23rd August 2009. The crown was won by the 18 year old Stefania Fernandez from Venezuela, which is Venezuela’s 6th win in the contest.  This is also the country’s 2nd consecutive win of the international beauty pageant title.

Fernandez dazzled the stage in a flashing red gown. Miss Dominican Republic was declared as the first runner up. Fernandez, who defeated 83 contestants from all over the world, received the glittering crown costing 120,000 dollars from last year’s winner, Dayana Mendoza, who is also from Venezuela. Ada Aimee de la Cruz of Dominican Republic was crowned as the first runner-up while Kosovos Gona Dragusha was declared as the 2nd runner-up.

There were three categories in which the girls were judged – swimwear, evening gown and interview as they competed for the most sought after title. The whole show was hosted by Claudia Jordan, model, actress and former Miss Rhode Island USA, and Billy Bush, Access Hollywood co-anchor.

Heidi Montag

This was a real treat for eyes and ears for those present at the Miss Universe Beauty Pageant. Heidi Montag appeared in tight sequined pants and a matching bra to perform live at the event on Sunday. Monag sang “Body Language” from her debut album, which was her first live performance.

Montag while talking about her first ever live performance said, “I think people don’t know what to expect, and how can they? It’s my first performance live and it’s in front of a billion eyes. So I’m very excited to show everyone what I’m coming with”.

The singer maintained her dance moves to simple steps while her fans cheered her constantly. An unnamed source suggested that Montag’s performance might have been canceled as the production stuff thought she might not remember her lyrics. As a reply to such criticism Montag said she was excited about her first live performance, “I’m very excited for everybody to see this,” she said. “I think a lot of people are expecting something very different”.

But Montag’s spotlight was shared by the Miss Universe beauty queens who dazzled on the ramp while Montag performed. A major part of her performance was interrupted by flashing images of the 15 finalists doing a bikini photo shoot in the Bahamas.

It has also come into news that Heidi Montag is planning a second breast implant operation and would be heading to the cosmetic surgeon sometime soon. She had undergone a breast enhancement surgery earlier in 2007.

“They’re not as big as they used to be… I dance a lot, I ride around a lot, I workout a lot; I don’t know what happened. They’re the best things I’ve ever had, I’m so excited about them every day and I think I want bigger (breasts)”, said Montag who feels her bery hectic lifestyle has resulted in her boobs to shrink.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

The oomph woman, Angelina Jolie, is slim and trim. But the Changeling actress certainly enjoys her piece of  chocolate cake as much as the next girl. The Hollywood’s hot lady has been time and again tagged as underweight was caught in camera at the gooey gateau to commemorate director Simon West’s birthday yesterday, on the NYC set of her new movie Salt.

The 33 year old actress was flaunting  a sleek black wig and smoky eye-makeup along with a set of handcuffs dangling from her left wrist. Jolie was back to work after a break last week to join partner Brad Pitt in Cannes.

Joined by her partner, Brad Pitt, Jolie looked bedazing in her nude-coloured Versace gown. Not only did she look slimmer as she sashayed down the red carpet, she also looked ravishingly hot as she  accompanied Brad to a bash for his new flick, Inglourious Basterds.

The rumors of the couple splitting was ambushed by their public show of unity and affection. Earlier there were news of the  actress having been flown into a rage after she caught Brad rubbing the back of their nanny on the bed in the twins’ room.

Recently Angelina had been keeping really busy with her shoot for her upcoming film  spy thriller Salt in and around New York. The couple with ther 6 children – 3 biological and 3 adopted -  have rented a house in Long Island for their dwelling.

In the film Salt the Oscar nominated actress, who is also a mother of six and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, will play CIA officer Evelyn Salt. Jolie, in the film will be on a  mission to clear her name after being accused of being a Russian sleeper agent. There are several action-packed scenes including Ange dangling out of an apartment block window.
