Rihanna

Its been nine month after Rihanna had been bashed up badly by her former boyfriend rapper Chris Brown. And now Rihanna felt this is the right time to speak out about the night that left her wounded and freaking.

“This happened to me. … It can happen to anyone”, the 21 year old singer told in an interview on Good Morning America and on 20/20. Rihanna was interviewed by Diane Sawyer on Friday.

The singer also added that parting from Brown is practically very difficult for her since she was deeply in love with him. “He was definitely my first big love”, said Rihanna also mentioning that Brown held a special place in her heart.

After the horrific incident Rihanna lodged an FIR against Brown. The 20 year old rapper is presently serving his sentence of 3 months community services and 5 years probation and also working on new music, his album Graffiti, which will hit the stores on November 23rd. “Russian Roulette”, the first single of the album debuted last week. Brown has apologized for his unlawful act a number of times in public.

Rihanna, who was in much shock due to the unexpected incident for long, also added, “I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears,” the 21-year-old songstress tells Glamour. “That was the level of media chaos that happened the next day… The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn’t heard”.

Miley Cyrus on the Last Song Set

Mark Mcleod, a 53 year old man, has been sentenced to probation of 2 years (24 months) against charges of stalking pop singer and actress Miley Cyrus, reports the Associated Press. The report says the the Miley stalker admitted to “resisting the police guards” during the shooting of her film, “The Last Song”, in the coast of Georgia in an island called Tybee. He was reported to have announced himself as being engaged to her. This incident occurred in early August this year. McLeod had been jailed since then while investigations were being done.

The grand jury of the Chatham county of Savannah, on Wednesday, had carefully studied the matter and realized that there was no hard charges against the man. The prosecutors had imposed charges against felony at that time. Later, though, the charges were decreased and McLeod had 2 lesser grave charges to face, one showing misconduct towards the police and second, attempting to stalk the 16 year old star. Defending McLeod, lawyer James Byrne assured that his client was innocent and he would never pose such a kind of threat to Cyrus. The prosecutors quite disagreed to this but still decided to drop the felony charges against McLeod.

On Friday morning, when the court came to session, McLeod admitted to being guilty of the lower charges and he received a sentence of 2 years of probation and an assessment in a mental health facility. He was also ordered to be far from Miley.

An interesting point to see here is that Miley is quite in the center of such psychotic activities around her. A soldier threatening to murder her because he didn’t like her music, a little boy threatening to kill a cat if she doesn’t start tweeting and now this. Is it me or are you thinking too, is this “the last song” or is it another “fly on the wall”?

Lindsay Lohan

The Hollywood beauty Lindsay Lohan had been asked to appear in court on Friday. Reports have been submitted stating that Lohan has violated the terms and conditions of an alcohol education program imposed on her for a 2007 drunk driving case.

The 23 year old Lohan might be sent to jail if she is being found guilty. Reliable sources have reported that the Hollywood beauty might have broken her probation or other orders imposed on her as part of her sentence.

According to reports of court officials, Lohan has been asked to pay a routine hearing in court on Friday by Marsha Revel, the Beverly Hills Superior Court judge.

Followed by a drunk driving case in August 2007, the “Mean Girls” actress received an order from the court to attend and complete an alcohol education program of a duration of eighteen months. According to reports Lohan was also ordered to serve 24 hours in jail and perform 10 days of community service during her 36 months probation. The charges brought against her was that of drunk driving, reckless driving and driving under the influence of cocaine.

Lohan rose to fame as a child artist by appearing in the film names “The Parent Trap”. The recent years have been controversial for the actress. Her addiction to drugs and relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson have led her to become the most troubled and talked-about teen stars in Hollywood.

Roman Polanski

The sudden arrest of the Polish film maker Roman Polanski has brought the release of his latest film “The Ghost” to a hold. The political thriller was mostly set to hit the screen right before Polanski was arrested in Switzerland.

Jeff Berg, the chief of International Creative Management as well as Polanski’s agent has said that the director had nearly finished editing the film. But various other post production work like music scoring and sound mixing were left to be done. The Ghost is based on Robert Harris’ novel and stars Pierce Brosnan and Ewan McGregor as the main two leads. The other casts include Kim Cattrall, Tom Wilkinson, Olivia Williams and James Belushi.

The novel itself caused much refute due to a strong resemblance of Lang, the protagonist’s character to former Prime Minister Tony Blair. In the movie Brosnan will be seen in the role of Lang, who was once a very popular political leader but brought down by his fealty with the United States in the war on terror.

Polanski had escaped from USA in 1978 after he was accused of having unlawful sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old girl in Los Angeles. The director was in Zurich to receive a lifetime achievement award from a film festival from where he was arrested. Polanski’s last release was 1974’s “Chinatown”.

Polanski is a  Holocaust survivor and have gone through numerous traumatic situations in life. In 1969 he had been a witness to the murder of his pregnant wife, actress Sharon Tate, by followers of cult figure Charles Manson.

“I’m always optimistic when it comes to Roman. He’s strong, and he has survived every situation imaginable”, added Berg.

John Travolta

Actor John Travolta will have to face an emotional testimony today. The Hollywood actor is one of the witnesses  at a Bahamas trial. The court officials have revealed that case has two people accused of trying to obtain a sum of US$25 million from the movie star

Soon after Travolta’s son died of a chronicle disease in the Bahamas, an  ambulance driver along with a former Bahamas senator allegedly targeted the actor. They have been taken into custody. A charge of postulating money in exchange for not bringing a document associated to 16 year old Jett Travolta’s treatment in public eyes, have been brought against them.

The Jury selection will begin on Monday morning. Travolta is listed among the prosecutors, who might be called to testify, as stated by Bahamas Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez. The trial, which will be held at the capital city of Nassau, has brought the city to spotlight again. Earlier there had been many such celebrity cases whose trial had taken place in this island chain off the Florida coast. In 2006, it was revealed by the court here that the death of Anna Nicole Smith’s 20-year-old son Daniel was the result of an accidental drug overdose.

Followed by an extortion complaint with Bahamas police filed by Travolta in January, the case had begun here. Former Senator Pleasant Bridgewater and paramedic Tarino Lightbourne, have pleaded  innocent to charges including conspiracy to commit extortion. They tried to  revive Jett after he collapsed on January 2nd.

Travolta has reported that the duo threatened him with a document that would have brought out emergency respondents from any obligation if the family refused an ambulance. The defendants are now free on bail.

Chris Brown

Chris Brown has engaged himself into a number of community services. Brown was spotted clearing  weeds and debris at police horse stables in Virginia on Wednesday. This was marked as the rapper’s first day of the service of his 180 day court ordered community service for bashing up ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

Besides the 20 year old R&B singer there were two others who were in their probationary period. The three of them were found clearing tall weeds and brushing by hand and yard tools. There were only a few fans and  television crews who gathered up to catch a glimpse of the Brown. Additional officers were present for the security reasons.

Brown was found dressed in an orange vest, white tank top, baggy jeans and red baseball cap waving his hands towards his fans while working. Although he hadn’t spoken to the media persons. The additional officers present said that the working schedule of Brown will be flexible, which will include both the work hours and the number of working days. The rapper is expected to perform  different types of manual labor, said  Gene Lepley, who is a spokesperson to Richmond Police.

Due to security reasons, it will not be revealed where and when Brown would be working. “We’ll just take a look at it day by day and certainly would ask for the cooperation of the public and Chris’ fans so that he is able to satisfy the work requirements”, added Lepley.

Anand Jon Alexander

Anand Jon Alexander, the Indian-US celebrity fashion designer was sentences to 59 years of life imprisonment. The charge against the fashion designer was of sexual assault of seven young girls he made false promises to offer modeling jobs.

Alexander, who played his own lawyer, had presented a long argument pleading a new trial. The reason he stated for his plead was juror and prosecutorial misconduct and poor defense by his former attorneys. Judge David Wesley although denied every request of Alexander.

Alexander took part in reality television show “America’s Next Top Model” as a guest designer. During this time in last year November, he was convicted of 16 charges of rape, sexual assault and other crimes.Deputy Dist. Atty. Frances Young added that the sentence given to Alexander was perfect given the “aggravated nature of the crimes and the horrible torment on a number of victims”.

“I was 14. You took my adolescence, my trust, my dream and completely manipulated them for your sexual desires”, one of the victims read out from her statement.

The 35 year old fashion designer was one of the most upcoming names in the fashion world in 2007 before his arrest. Alexander was then designing clothes for celebrities such as Paris Hilton and Mary J. Blige. He was also selected as a person to watch by Newsweek magazine.

Chris Brown

Chris Brown, the R&B singer has revealed recently that he is still deeply in love with his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna, and cant recall of having beating her up. Brown had earlier pleaded guilty to bashing up Rihanna badly.

Brown, famous for his songs like “Kiss, Kiss”, was condemned to five years trial period and some community service last week for assaulting Rihanna in February on the eve of Grammy awards. With a bruised face Rihanna lodged a complaint with the police.

Although Brown had apologized for his brutal act several times publicly yet he hasn’t sat for any formal interview in this regard since the incident had taken place. It was only after he was sentenced by the court that Brown spoke to star interviewer Larry King and to People magazine openly.

In an interview with King for his CNN’s show “Larry King Live”, Brown was asked if he could remember what had exactly happened on that black eve. To which Brown simply said he can’t recall anything.

“I just look at it like, wow, I’m in shock, because, first of all, that’s not who I am as a person, and that’s not who I promise I want to be. So when I look at the police reports or hear about the police reports, I just don’t know what to think”, said Brown.

The R&B singer also said to the People magazine that he is still deeply in love with Rihanna. “I never fell out of love with her. That just wouldn’t go away”, he added.

Bob Dylan

How would you feel if you find an unusual looking man in black sweat pants and a few raincoats loitering in your front yard while it’s raining so heavy? You might get the biggest shock of your life if that man told you that he was none other than he folk legend himself, Bob Dylan.

Yeah that’s true! Now don’t raise your eyebrows!

Such was the complaint lodged by the owners of a home for sale in Long Branch, New Jersey. When the 22 year old New Jersey police officer, Kristie Buble, reached the place the owner of the house told her that they spotted an “eccentric-looking old man” wandering around their front yard. It was raining heavily and the crazy man looked worn out and lost.

Finally after the old man was caught by Buble, he identified himself as the legendary singer Bob Dylan. He explained that he was looking for a house, which is put on sale. In an interview with ABCNews.com Buble has been quoted as saying, “he didn’t look like Bob Dylan to me at all. … We see a lot of people on our beat, and I wasn’t sure if he came from one of our hospitals or something”.

Buble also had to drive him to the hotel where Dylan was staying after he failed to submit any identity proof of himself. On reaching the hotel it was finally proven that the old man was truly Dylan who was on tour with Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp.

Now that’s called a big time mess!

Earlier the identity of “No Direction Home” song writer has been questioned. According to a report presented by the Associated Press, in October 2001, Dylan was detained in Oregon while he tried to enter the backstage of his own concert – almost, some might say, like a complete unknown.

Cameron Douglas with father Michael Douglas

The popular actor, Michael Douglas has stated that his entire family is “devastated” after his son’s arrest on drug charges. The 30 year old Cameron Douglas was taken into custody on 28th July from Manhattan. He was accused of selling a drug named methamphetamine.

“The family is devastated and very disappointed in Cameron’s recent behavior. Any family who has dealt with substance abuse knows how devastating it can be”, said the worried parents, Michael and his former wife Diandra Douglas to People magazine.

Cameron, if proven guilty of selling thousands of dollars worth of methamphetamine, also known as Crystal Meth, will have to face a minimum 10-year jail sentence and a maximum of life imprisonment. He was arrested from a hotel in Manhattan. The prosecuting officer has brought charges of shipping large quantities of the drug from California to New York through the courier service Federal Express, against him.

Carmen was earlier restricted in an apartment after he was arrested. But now he is shifted to jail after his girlfriend, Kelly Sott, allegedly tried to smuggle heroin to him. The court documents stated that after Douglas asked for a toothbrush on Monday his girlfriend delivered it to him later that day. The guard who was in duty at that time opened the battery compartment of the toothbrush and found “a brownish substance that appeared to be heroin”.
