Yes, it’s over for Christie Brinkley and the supermodel and the mother of two walks away with all the meat… well almost. The blown-out-of-proportion divorce trial got nastier as it proceeded to its grand finale. However everything seems to have ended up well for the ex-supermodel. She gets to keep all the 9 estates and she also gets ownership of their private boat. The estimated net worth of everything comes down to $80 million along with the sole custody of their children, 10 year old daughter Sailor Lee and the 13 year old Jack.
Peter Cook on the other and gets a settled amount of $2.1 million dollars which is a meager amount compared to what his wife gets to keep. Considering his actions and irresponsible behavior towards his children and his wife it’s anybody’ guess whether he got what he deserves. The divorce trial began with Brinkley accusing Cook of having extra-marital liaisons and also being harsh with the kids.

Brinkley wants the painful divorce proceedings to finish off in a settlement. It’s difficult for the kids and embarrassing for the whole family as Brinkley had pointed out to the press earlier too. On Wednesday the divorce trial took an hour long recess after which it again resumed. The lawyers on both sides were said to have sat behind closed doors and decided to confer amongst each other. There was an attempt for a settlement from both sides however both sides were unsuccessful in coming to a conclusion.
The trial therefore resumed after an hour and later the children’s piano teacher was called to the stands. She testified that both the mother and the father were very active and hand-on parents. The Brinkley divorce proceedings have been raging for a week now both asking for full custody of their children. The separation came through in the wake of Peter’s clandestine affair with his own employee. Other shocking details like his drug arrests have also come to the limelight in the course of the battle.

In another dramatic day of the Christie Brinkley divorce trial a forensic psychiatrist Dr. Stephen Herman has testified that the father should not get the kids. According to the psychiatrist Peter Cook had “self-destructive” and “narcissistic” habits. Even though this is not reason enough to consider the guy a bad father Doctor Herman did testify that Cook should not have custody of the kids.
Christie Brinkley on the other hand has admitted that she would not have married her husband if she had known the details of the felony drug arrest that he had been involved in, in his late 20’s. Brinkley testified that week before their marriage Cook had minimized the arrest and then revealed the truth to her but not the whole details. She had later learned that it did not happen in New York City but in a “gay truck stop”. As the battle gets tougher and more bizarre this trial seems to be a long and tiring one for both involved. Both of them have filed for full custody of the children.

It was a long day for supermodel Christie Brinkley whose divorce trial with husband architect Peter Cook started on Wednesday. An emotional Christie left the trial room and gave a cryptic statement to the press. She stated that there were a number of new things that had come up in the proceedings of which she was unaware of. The former supermodel and also a mother of two also said that she needed time to absorb whatever was going on.
The day started with Brinkley’s lawyer ripping Cook apart by calling him a bad father and using details about his affair with an 18 year old employee 3 years ago. Even Brinkley’s daughter described the father as an irresponsible man who got easily angry on her. The marriage came apart when the affair with the office employee Diana Bianchi came to the fore and both Cook and Christie are battling for the custody of their children Sharon 10 and Jack 13.
