A former bodyguard of Anna Nicole Smith revealed that the star was on powerful sedative after her son died. Smith’s bodyguard was at a hearing to a case to decide charged against her longtime companion and two attorneys.

Anna Nicole Smith was going through a depressing state of mind after her son’s death and began consuming types of rare sleep aid. As per reports of her former bodyguard she picked up habit of drinking powerful liquid sedative straight from the medicine bottle. The bodyguard also confirmed that Smith started carrying the bottle of medicine with her wherever she went. This resulted into a fatal overdose of the drug called chloral hydrate while she mourned over her son’s death.

The Miami fireman, Maurice Brighthaupt, stated, “I saw her use a spoon maybe twice and after that it was bottle to mouth – gulp”. The charges of planning conspiracy to ruin the model with illegal prescription drugs have been brought against Howard K. Stern, Smith’s longtime companion, and the two Los Angeles physicians, who adviced the medicines to her. The testimony of Brighthaupt will act as important evidence for the case. Stern and the two physicians have pleaded innocense already.

Khristine Eroshevich, one of the doctors at Studio City psychiatrist, prescribed the chloral hydrate to Smith in 2005 after her son Daniel’s death. As confirmed by Brighthaupt the doctor even delivered the drug to Smith when she was in the Bahamas at one occasion. He also added that the doctor was “reluctant” to give the medicine to the Smith but she “was begging for it and she really needed it”.
