Miley Stalker Has Pleaded Guilty

Miley Cyrus on the Last Song Set
Mark Mcleod, a 53 year old man, has been sentenced to probation of 2 years (24 months) against charges of stalking pop singer and actress Miley Cyrus, reports the Associated Press. The report says the the Miley stalker admitted to “resisting the police guards” during the shooting of her film, “The Last Song”, in the coast of Georgia in an island called Tybee. He was reported to have announced himself as being engaged to her. This incident occurred in early August this year. McLeod had been jailed since then while investigations were being done.
The grand jury of the Chatham county of Savannah, on Wednesday, had carefully studied the matter and realized that there was no hard charges against the man. The prosecutors had imposed charges against felony at that time. Later, though, the charges were decreased and McLeod had 2 lesser grave charges to face, one showing misconduct towards the police and second, attempting to stalk the 16 year old star. Defending McLeod, lawyer James Byrne assured that his client was innocent and he would never pose such a kind of threat to Cyrus. The prosecutors quite disagreed to this but still decided to drop the felony charges against McLeod.
On Friday morning, when the court came to session, McLeod admitted to being guilty of the lower charges and he received a sentence of 2 years of probation and an assessment in a mental health facility. He was also ordered to be far from Miley.
An interesting point to see here is that Miley is quite in the center of such psychotic activities around her. A soldier threatening to murder her because he didn’t like her music, a little boy threatening to kill a cat if she doesn’t start tweeting and now this. Is it me or are you thinking too, is this “the last song” or is it another “fly on the wall”?

Michael Jackson's "This Is It"
Sony released “This is it”, a documentary which traced Michael Jackson’s rehearsals for the would-have-been concert, this Wednesday on the 28th of October. The 112 minutes movie showed footage of the time between April and June when Jackson had been rehearsing for the “sold-out concert” which he was going to stage at the O2 Arena in London. The concert sadly never happened, but some intelligent minds and hardcore fans like Director Kenny Ortega and some Sony Pictures executives brought out this idea of the documentary film. The whole behind-the-scenes régale is a treat to every Jackson fan and brings alive the real charisma of Jackson.
The documentary shows the rehearsals held in Los Angeles at the Staples Center and the Forum. Sony paid $60 million to get the rights of the more than 100 hours of footage. Ortega, who had been the creative director for MJ’s Memorial Service, compiled the interviews, backstage extras and rehearsals into a film that a fan recounts was “overflowed with his energy, passion, and dedication”.
Keeping the global Jackson-appeal in mind this documentary was released in 99 countries including Japan, South Africa, Brazil, China, Norway and the U.S. (of course). Fans all around the world got to see their beloved “King of Pop” at the premiere on Tuesday night. Although the film started at an extremely late hour, fans still remained faithful to their Pop-Czar.
The midweek release of “This is it” earned $7.4 million in U.S. and an additional $12.7 million from around the world. The total grossing in the first day was $20.1 million. This is supposed to be the highest for an October midweek release. For the individual money-scores, U.K. turned out to the highest seller grossing $1.9 million, just a little before France with $1.4 million. The global phenomena can be seen as Japan, Germany and China followed France with $1.2 million, $1.1 million and $730,000 respectively.
These numbers, although, might still turn a sad face for the Sony producers as their sales projections were much higher than this. They had expected a return of $20 million only from the U.S. which was not achieved. It is now to be seen whether the next few weeks will bring in the expected returns of $30 to &50 millions or not.
But, looking at the whole picture, this is a tribute film made for the fans, by the fans, to the fans. Let us just let it remain there and not remunerate them.
What say?

Chris Brown seems to be too much in love with Rihanna even now. During the itsy-bitsy hours on Monday morning, the rapper was hooked on to the micro-blogging site called Twitter. Brown kept tweeting about the good times he had with Rihanna on Twitter and also posted a YouTube link to a photo montage of himself and Rihanna during their happier times.
“I’m sorry y’all. Just had to post it”, Brown wrote as an accompanying text to the photo montage on the Twitter. “For the fellas: showing emotion doesn’t make u weak … being honest makes you strong”, followed immediately by the rapper.

Charlize Theron Kisses a Lady for $140.000 Charity
by anamus on Oct.26, 2009, under Bizarre, charity, gossip, sightings, social cause, spotlight
Don’t get her wrong!! Charlize Theron is certainly not a lesbian. But that doesn’t mean she can’t place a smack on a woman for charity.
Charlize Theron kissed a lady for $140,000. That’s quite an expensive smooch lady!! This was the latest charitable effort by the Hollywood beauty. The charity auction for which Theron volunteered herself included a kiss. Before the actress began Theron did not have any intimation that her kiss would go on to mint $140,000 and that the winner would be a female!
According to reports by UsMagazine.com the amount raised by Theron’s kiss went to the organization named as OneXone on Thursday night in San Francisco, California. The initial prize was not the auction money though. Like an icing on the cake the South African actress had earlier offered a trip to South Africa, her native land in 2010. The trip would include a wild life safari, World Cup tickets and a meet-and-greet with Nelson Mandela. This sounds even better.
After the bidding began Theron changed her mind to see that the auction was slowed down at $37,000. The actress immediately included the kiss into the bag and that made a difference. The bidding wars started soaring high. The surprising part was that a female attendee outbid a man in the audience by $5,000 to win the smooch.
James Dean Inspired Edward Cullen’s Look : Robert Pattinson
by anamus on Oct.26, 2009, under acting, fashion, inspiration, movies, upcoming
Did you find anything unusually similar between “Twilight’s” Edward Cullen and bad boy James Dean? Yes, you are right, its the perfect hair, grizzling looks and outcast persona of the most handsome vampire on-screen. The look of the vampire in Twilight was much influenced from the “Rebel Without a Cause” said Robert Pattinson.
“‘Rebel Without a Cause’ was a big influence on the first ‘Twilight’ film — it influenced the hairdo and stuff. In lots of ways, it has a very similar character arc: An everyday girl brings this relatively strange individual out of his slump”, the actor said in an interview with USA Today.
Pattinson has an image, which is quite similar to James Dean. Right after his Twilight release Rob became the heartthrob of millions of women from all over the world. In a past interview the 23 year old actor was quoted as saying that he does not feel very comfortable handling all the attention and fame the character “Edward Cullen” brought to him.
“I’m not entirely sure what it is. I’ll probably realize afterward how I could have controlled it a little bit more. But I am still like a deer in headlights”, said Pattinson.
Rob also admitted the fact that a large section os his fans are ardent readers of the “Twilight” series of books. And they all could relate his so much with the bookish character that it became difficult for them to distinguish between the actor and Edward Cullen most of the time.
“Right at the beginning, everyone just called me Edward. I don’t really mind either way. There’s something about that character that, for some reason, has sparked an interest in massive degrees in so many different people”, Rob added.
The actor also said, “If you want to compete with your own character, you have to really fight. I don’t know if I could be bothered to fight. I just let it go by.”
The forthcoming sequel of the popular vampire series, “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”, is all set to hit theatres on November 20.
“Paranormal Activity” pulls away all the crowd and cuts off “Saw VI” at the Box Office
by Amelia on Oct.26, 2009, under Entertainment, box office, launch, movies, rankings, releases
Paranormal ActivityMarked as “one of the scariest horror movies of all time”, “Paranormal Activity”, has indeed freaked out every audience sitting in the theatres. The chiller was released throughout the nation and instantly took over the number 1 position with $22 million. Perhaps its pre-Halloween release has helped the film to get to the top so quickly. Many believe that “Paranormal Activity” has won the battle of horror movies defeating the sixth part of “Saw”, another chiller, which has been an annual fixture of Halloween since 2004.
“Saw VI” had a very disappointing beginning with just $14.8 million, which is too less compared to the $18.3 million that was the lowest profit for the original movie. On contrary all the other movies of Lionsgate’s Saw series got huge opening at $30 million or even more.
Surprisingly, this year “Paranormal Activity” grabbed all the attention and became number 1 disappointing the regular followers of Saw. As the box-office analyst for Hollywood.com Paul Dergarabedian rightly puts in: “`Paranormal’ ate their lunch,”. He said. “There’s no other way to explain it.”
“Paranormal Activity”, which can be stamped as a “low-budget movie” was reported to be shot for only $15,000. But to Paramount’s immense relief the movie became one of the most buzzed horror sensations of all time.
The movie had a narrower release in the first few weeks and was slotted into 1,945 theatres by the distributor later on – which is still two-third of the total count (3,036) of theatres for “Saw VI”. Despite of this, “Paranormal Activity” has raised its haul to $62.5 million till date. Well, it’s indeed huge when it comes to Hollywood chillers.
Bale Inspired by Tom Cruise to Play ‘American Psycho’
by anamus on Oct.23, 2009, under Acts, acting, inspiration, movies, performances, roles
It was recently revealed by the director of “American Psycho” in an interview that the inspiration for Christian Bale’s portrayal of the lead character is Tom Cruise. Bale played the role of Patrick Bateman, who is the protagonist of the film.
In a recent interview with the Black Book magazine, Mary Harron, who co-starred Bale in the movie, was quoted as saying how “Martian-like” Bateman was, “how he was looking at the world like somebody from another planet, watching what people did and trying to work out the right way to behave”.
Harron also added, “And then one day [Bale] called me and he had been watching Tom Cruise on David Letterman, and he just had this very intense friendliness with nothing behind the eyes, and he was really taken with this energy”.
Bale was quoted as saying in a 2000 interview with Barnes&Noble.com, that he had complete faith on Bret Easton Ellis, the author of American Psycho, to have included agonizingly detailed violence in his book. This, the actor believed, was required to highlight the fact that Bateman’s “obsession with details” was the source of his insanity.
“That’s what I see about Bateman – his fixation on minutiae, and absolutely needing to get an answer for every little tiny thing, even though all the things he’s interested in are completely shallow,” Bale said.
