Salma Hayek’s wedding to French billionaire Francois Henri on Saturday at Venice’s Teatro La Fenice opera house was a celebration worthy of its famous venue. The couple made it official all over again. Their second wedding ceremony at Venice’s Teatro La Fenice opera house was as grand as anyone could have expected a million dollar wedding ceremony should be.
The guests present at the Hayek and Henri’s wedding wore Venetian masks. Hayek and Henri has a one year old daughter. Among the guests there were Hollywood guests like Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Ashley Judd, Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith. Among the other 150 guests French president Jacques Chirac, Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend, Lucy Liu, Stella McCartney and Bono were also present.
Hayek first married Henri on the Valentine’s Day in Paris. On her 2nd wedding she dazzled the venue in a Balenciaga wedding gown and a long veil. Hayek also carried a bouquet of orchids and stephanotis with crystals. Balenciaga is one of the most luxurious brands owned by Pinault’s family firm.
With music the celebrity guests performed in front of the couple a Hawaiian-style version of the sentimental classic from The Wizard of Oz, “Over the Rainbow“. The guests who took part in the show included Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Ed Norton, Woody Harrelson, Charlize Theron, Stella McCartney and Ashley Judd. Followed by this there was an elegant presentation by Hayek, Theron and Harrelson joined with Bono and Damien Rice on the stage. Th]ey did a rendition of “Stand By Me“.
