Michael Douglas to Bring Back Gekko in Wall Street

The Hollywood actor, Michael Douglas will bring back his role of Gordon Gekko, who is a  remorseless corporate ransacker in a sequel to the hit movie Wall Street. The news has been recently flashed by the 20th Century Fox.

Oliver Stone, the director of the first movie, has agreed to direct the sequel. Talks are still on to decide upon the release date of the film. The scripting is still going on and is expected to vastly cover the  credit crisis and economic recession of the world.

The 1987 film, Wall Street, starred Michael Douglas along with reputed actors like Martin and Charlie Sheen. Douglas had also won a best actor award in Oscar for his role in the film. Quotes delivered by the actor like “Greed, for lack of a better word, is good,” and “Lunch? Are you joking? Lunch is for wimps“, became very popular in the film.

In the upcoming sequel of Wall Street Douglas will play the role of Gekko, who is a very powerful and influential investor schooling a young person in making money by dirty and unlawful means. The filming of Wall Street may begin this summer if everything goes according to plan.

The 68 year old actor, Michael Douglas, is awaiting his upcoming romantic comedy film, Ghosts Of, release in UK this weekend. In the film the actor will star opposite to Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner.
