McDreamy´s fiancée is pregnant. Surprised? No, it´s not the character. It´s the actress, Ellen Pompeo who is expecting her first child with her real-life love Chris Ivery. The actress appears on the hit ABC series ´Grey´s Anatomy´ as Dr. Meredith Grey, the to-be bride of Dr. Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd.

Pompeo, 39, and Ivery, who is a record producer, are one of the most low-key couples of Hollywood. They dated each other for three years before getting married in November 2007. It was a quiet ceremony, away from the paparazzi eyes, at New York City Hall. Pompeo´s publicist, Jennifer Allen, has not given a due date. But she has said “Its great news. They’re ecstatic.”

Pompeo leads the enseambsle cast on ´Grey´s Anatomy´. Sheperd has finally proposed to Grey this season, something that fans have been eagerly waiting for.
