
Ron Silver
Ron Silver, an award winning actor, died at the age of 62. he rose to fame after portraying Bruno Gianelli, a political strategist, in The West Wing. Silver was suffering from esophageal cancer for two years. For his role in the film The West Wing, Silver was nominated in Emmy. For his unforgettable work in the play Speed the Plow, the veteran actor was awarded a Tony in 1988.
Robin Bronk of the Creative Coalition, a charity where Silver was a co-founder, said, “Ron Silver died peacefully in his sleep with his family around him”. Creative Coalition works towards establishment of free speech by educating people and through campaigns. It was established in 1989. Besides Silver, Alec Baldwin and Susan Sarandon were the other founders of the organization.
