If you remember, Paris Hilton was recently involved in a club fight. She was at the Fontainebleau Hotel nightclub in Miami, Florida, enjoying the Winter Music Conference with her boyfriend Doug Reinhardt. A brawl started between Doug and the club DJ Steve Angello’s bodyguards. According to Hilton, she was abused and pushed by the DJ’s bodyguard when she went up to request for songs. She claimed that her boyfriend was attacked by “six guys“.

DJ Angello, however, holds Hilton responsible for the violence. It was her bodyguards, he claims, who punched him in his face after he refused to play what Hilton had requested. “Paris’s story is a joke. She kept demanding I play hip-hop, not Madonna, Daft Punk or anyone else – I’m not a hip-hop DJ. I don’t have a bodyguard either. Her guy punched me first and I defended myself. No-one else was involved. She might be used to people saying yes to her 24/7, but she’s not going to get that from me. The Winter Music Conference is about the music, and that’s the reason people travel to it from all over the world. It’s not about spoilt girls getting what they want.“

On Monday night, the sexy Kim Kardashian was seen with famous wedding dress designer Vera Wang. It raised the question: Is wedding round the corner for Kim Kardashian? Has her footballer boyfriend Reggie Bush proposed to her? Is Vera Wang to design the wedding gown?

The buzz about Kim’s marriage started when she was spotted having dinner with Vera Wang at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills. Kim’s mother and sisters were also present. But, hold on folks. Kim has cleared up the rumours. “I was spotted with Vera Wang, we had dinner a few nights… a couple times and she’s an amazing women and amazing designer.” At Queen Latifah’s birthday bash in Los Angeles, she stated “I would be honored if she would design my gown, but we have not talked about that.“

The question about Kim tying the knot with Reggie wasn’t very unpredictable. Reggie had mentioned that he was ready to take the relationship to the next level. And now, Kim has been meeting Vera Wang. Kim confessed that though she and Reggie do talk about marriage, they will “not put pressure” on their relationship. So, no wedding story at the moment for the sultry ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star.

Compliments from Time Warner Cable: Fans of Miley Cyrus and her Disney Channel TV show “Hannah Montana” are invited to a free screening of “Hannah Montana:The Movie” that is to take place Friday, April 10, at Atrium Stadium Cinemas in Eltingville. Tickets will be available on Wednesday, April 1, at 3.30 pm on a first-come, first-served basis at the Time Warner Cable kiosk located at Staten Island Mall. Each person will be getting two tickets. This offer, however, is only for subscribers of Time Warner Cable.

“Hannah Montana:The Movie“, a big screen adaptation of the popular Disney Channel series “Hannah Montana” starring pop diva Miley Cyrus, is to open in US theaters on April 10. It is a comedy movie featuring Miley in a role that leads her to choose between two worlds, the world of stardom, and the world of an ordinary school student.

Miley Stewart (Miley Cyrus) leads a double life as superstar Hannah Montana. When she finds it increasingly hard to manage her rising popularity and prevent it from affecting her life, her father takes her home to Crowley Corners and forces her to chose between the two personas she has been living. The movie, made by Walt Disney Pictures, has as its cast the actors from the original “Hannah Montana”. Miley Cyrus (as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana), Billy Ray Cyrus, Mitchel Musso, Jason Earles and Emily Osment. Tyra Banks, Taylor Swift, Vanessa Williams and Lucas Till will also appear in the movie.

Miley Cyrus has said that she will not be making anymore Hannah Montana movies. “I feel like this is a TV show,” she stated at a press conference to promote the film. “We were really lucky to have enough material to make one movie. To do another one takes away a lot of the reality. Normal high schoolers see Hannah’s blond wig and say, ‘That’s not reality’.” However, the TV series does not end with the running third season. Miley confirmed she would like to extend the series to a fourth season. “We didn’t make [the plot] in a way that makes another season unrealistic,” she said. “We’re all doing a season three, and we all wish to do a season four. So I don’t know if I would do another film, but we would love to do another season.”

One Tree Hill

TV show One Tree Hill seems to be coming to an end. It will be the end of season on May 16, 2009. The unfolding of events looked like the culmination of the series. Will this favorite TV series come to a full stop? No need to be disappointed. The series will return later this year with its seventh season that will be a four years leap into the future. There is to be more drama, several new personalities, and of course, new grudges.

The finale presented a theme of life, death and change hinting that it may be the end of the series. Clichéd scenes and story development made the end of season quite predictable, and seem the end of the series. One Tree Hill will come back with more dramatic revelations. Fans have to wait before they can know what changes take place after the series make a comeback. The mystery will continue.

Madonna with Malawian son David

It will not be before Friday this week when Madonna will hear whether she can adopt her second child from Malawi. The 50-year old pop star was in the African country to know about the judge’s decision about her adoption application. She appeared in court Monday (March 30), in Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi. However, her adoption plans have to wait. A judge declared that the ruling on the matter will be held till Friday. The child Madonna wants to adopt is a 4-year old girl whose unmarried mother had died soon after her birth. Last year, she had adopted her 3-year-old son David from an orphanage in Malawi.

Criticisms have made the matter a sensitive issue. Children’s advocacy groups have held Madonna guilty of using her wealth to make the adoption possible and rush it. According to Malawian law, it is necessary for a foreign adopter to live in the country with the child for more than a year before adoption. The judge, however, has the discretion to let Madonna have the child immediately. UK charity group Save the Children have said Madonna is sending a wrong message through the second adoption, and that it encourages impoverished parents “to abandon children in the hope that they will have a better life.”

Some of the Malawians support the adoption. An onlooker outside the court on Monday stated “We are blessed for what Madonna is doing here,” adding “That baby is going to have the advantages of going to school and of becoming someone. Here it is very difficult.” One of the poorest nations in the world, Malawi has 14% of its adults  infected withthe virus that causes AIDS.

Madonna first visited Malawi in 2006 for charity work, and for her documentary “I Am Because We Are,” a film on poverty and AIDS in Malawi. She also helps run Raising Malawi, a non-profit group which helps the poor people of Malawi. If the adoption takes place, then Madonna will be a single mother of four.

Saturday (March 28) brought a nightful of music, slime, and screeming kids. It was the night of Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2009 which was being held at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion in Westwood, Calif.A press release revealed that more than 90 million votes were cast in 18 categories to determine the winners of the orange blimps (..awards!). Unlike the three-and-a-half hour of pompousity of the Academy Awards, the Kids’ Choice Awards was ninety minutes of sliming, awarding and unadulterated fun.

Host Dwayne Johnson in a red mini-dress, and Will Ferrel kept the audience totally entertained. Amidst all the screams and slime were Miley Cyrus (who got the award for Favorite Female Singer) and the Jonas Brothers (named the Favorite Music Group). Cyrus said “I know this isn’t, like, the Oscars, but it’s still amazing.” The trio (Joe, Kevin and Nick Jonas) performed their hits “SOS” and “Burnin’ Up” and got honorory slime. Many others were slimed during the fest. Sandra Bullock and Hugh Jackman got the green slime all over their face as they announced the winner for the Favorite Book (the Twilight series).

The Favorite Animated Movie was “Madagascar:Escape 2 Africa“. Jack Black got the award for the Best Animated Voice for “Kung Fu Panda“. Favorite Movie award went to “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” which beat “The Dark Knight“. Will Smith and Vanessa Hudgens received the Favorite Movie Star Kids Choice Awards for male and female respectively. Other winners included “American Idol” (Favorite Reality Show), Dylan Sprouse (Favorite Television Actor for “The Sweet Life of Zack and Cody“), Selena Gomez (Favorite Television Actress for “The Wizards of Waverly Place“), and Leonardo DiCaprio (who got the inaugural Big Green Help Award for his environmental activism). “Spongebob Squarepants” was the sixth time winner for Favorite Cartoon.

Monsters vs Aliens

The 3-D effect has taken over box office this weekend. Dreamworks Animation’s action comedy “Monster vs. Aliens” made a grand opening that placed it at No. 1 and generated a massive $58.2 million in ticket sales in North America. It was the biggest debut so far in 2009, going over Watchmen’s $55 million opening. Needless to say, it also premiered top among other 3-D films of this year namely “My Bloody Valentine 3-D” and “Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience.”

A family film, “Monsters vs. Aliens” features a feud between creatures from 1950s movies and extraterrestrials invading the earth. Screenings included regular theaters, IMAX screens, 2-D and 3-D. Though the more expensive 3-D showings of the film formed less than a third of all types of screening, it earned 56% of the total revenue (approx. $32.6 million). There were 143 IMAX shows that gave the film an additional earning of about $5.2 million (9% of the total money). Overall, it was played in 4104 theaters. Placed between “Cars” and “Toy Story 2“, “Monsters vs. Aliens” has become the eighth-biggest animated opener of all time.

Following the 3-D smash is Lionsgate’s ghost story “The Haunting in Connecticut“. Surprisingly, it came second with a $23 million turnover. A ‘B’ CinemaScore grade from an audience comprising 58% female did not prevent the horror movie from giving Virginia Madsen the best premiere of her career. “Knowing“, which was reigning box office the previous week, has gone down to the third place. In its second weekend, it made $14.7 million in ticket sales. The Summit Entertainment thriller has to its credit a total of $46.2 million. “I Love You, Man” was number 4 with $12.6 million, and “Duplicity” slipped to the fifth position with $7.6 million.

The grand debut of “Monsters vs. Aliens” has boosted up Hollywood’s profits. Box office this weekend has grossed $148 million, a 39% increase from the same weekend a year ago. It is 39% This year’s revenue, till now, has reached $2.38 billion, which is 12% more than that of 2008’s. Hollywood is sure on a roll in 2009.

T.I

It seems that helping kids didn’t really wash away rapper T.I’s crime of buying unregistered machine guns and silencers. On Friday (March 27), a judge sentenced T.I to one year and a day in prison on federal weapons charges. The 28-year-old rapper was arrested in March 2007 following a sting operation that revealed him attemping to buy illegal weapons (three machine guns and two silencers). The police arrested him near the place, in Atlanta, where he was to receive a BET Hip-Hop Award a few hours later. He had pleaded guilty.

T.I, whose real name is Christopher Harris, has completed 1000 hours of community service, and will need to complete 470 more hours. In addition, hip-hop star warned teenagers about the dangerous consequences of guns, drugs and violencehe on the eight episodes of reality TV Series “T.I’s Road to Redemption”. His mentorship has benefitted a group of kids who have expressed their gratitude. Cynthia from episode 8 said “I feel better now [as a person], ’cause a year ago I wasn’t even going to school…..I didn’t go all last year — I was getting locked up. But now I’m just focused. I’m staying in school, even though it’s boring. But I have to do it, because I want to be something in life.” Another participant, Trey, who was in the second eopisode, spoke about how he and his father helped each other stay on the right path after his father was released from prison. He stated “After the show, [people] told me to keep going. At the rate I am [going], I’ll be up there, successful [soon].“

Throughout the court hearing on Friday morning, many of T.I’s supporters voiced that the law should show mercy in sentencing T.I on the basis of his community work. His lawyer specifically mentioned that in the past one year, the rapper has made 262 public appearance at schools, churches and youth groups. T.I has been given a time of 30 to 60 days to appear in prison.

Josh Blue

Josh Blue, the comedian from Denver who won NBC’s comedy competition ‘Last Comic Standing’ in its fourth season, came back on Comedy Central Friday (March 27) night at 11 in New York. Two years on the road, and with 200 performance, Blue entertained his audience with his superb stand up comedy. “I love doing this, and what a great city to play,” he said. “It was an awesome crowd.” To that he added “New York is harder. It’s a big mix of people.” Blue, accompanied by Kathleen Madigan, will return to Denver for a show on April 25. He will be at the Buell, where he has never set his foot before, performing for the Kempe Center.

A victim of cerebral palsy, Josh Blue competed, in 2006, with hundreds of other comedians for the show on Comedy Central . He was selected one of the 11 who went to live on the cruise ship Queen Mary. During the period they were on the cuise, all the 11 comedians competed in different contests to make it to the top 6. Blue had made it. After that, the decision lay on voters who chose him. Thus, Blue earned the winner’s title in the fourth season of the ‘Last Comic Standing’. Now, three years later, he has re-appeared on Comedy Central. Despite his disability, Blue has shown outstanding talent, thus gathering a huge audience and inspiring many.

Valerie Bertinelli

Valerie Bertinelli shows of her toned body in a green bikini and steals away the heart of millions. It has been reported by a close source that the star couldn’t sleep for the first time in nearly 30 years after she decided to step out in public bikini clad.

“I thought, Am I really going to do this? Can I pull this off?”, Bertinelli, the star whose mind was hastened to insecurity, said. “What am I so afraid of? Come on – it’s just a bathing suit!”, she added while starting to rouse a zippy talk about her.

Bertinelli will be celebrating her 49th birthday on April 23th, had been bold enough to show off those strips of  Lycra. From  172 lbs. Bertinelli has shed down to 132 lbs. in about 9 months. Bertinelli has last worn a bikini when she was at the tender age of 20. “I thought, If I’m so afraid of a bikini, there’s something wrong. And so I had to get back into one!”, she was quoted saying in an interview on Friday.

She began by walking 10,000 steps a day followed by rigorous exercise and a strict diet regime. After trying out this routine for few months on her own she finally hired a personal trainer in December. To get those perfect curves and shed the extra kilos for a stark bikini shape he trimmed her daily caloric intake from 1,700 to around 1,200.

“I never, ever, ever had deltoids!Oh my God, when I’m doing exercises and I see them pop out, I’m like, Yes!”,  Bertinelli said.
