Tom Cruise has reportedly upset his fans in Brazil by speaking Spanish instead of Portuguese, which is the Brazilian National language. Tom didn’t realise that Brazilians spoke Portuguese during a recent trip to the country to promote movie ‘Valkyrie’.
Tom reportedly (read mistakenly) addressed a press conference in Rio de Janeiro with the Spanish words “hola” (hello) and “gracias” (thank you), according to Brazilian gossip website Glamurama.
Tom was confused with Dancing as well. His knowledge about dancing also got him into trouble. Tom said his love for tango made him fall in love with Brazil, while in actuality the Latin dance originated in Argentina.
The actor stayed in Brazil’s Copacabana Palace with wife Katie Holmes and their two-year-old daughter Suri, during the trip. The film tells the story about a plot to kill Adolf Hitler, sees the actor play one of the key plotters Colonel Claus Von Stauffenberg.

Tom Cruise is an internationally famous hollywood star. If he is going to a place to promote his film atleast he should know what language that country speaks. Also if he cannot speak two words in that language then should stick to English.
