Salma Hayek surprised her fans by marrying off in a very private ceremony without a prior notice. Salma Hayek has married in a purely French manner. The Mexican born actress vowed in French in her wedding ceremony. The 42-year-old actress married billionaire French businessman Francois-Henri Pinault in Paris on Valentine’s Day. Hayek wore a white gown and carried a bunch of red roses for the intimate ceremony.

Hayek who acts in Hollywood films, Mexican and Spanish films decided not to entertain the media about her marriage decision, neither did she notify anybody else. She had reportedly called off her engagement last July. Salma was on and off in her relationship with Francois-Henri. She has a 17-month-old daughter Valentina with Francois-Henri. For the surprise ceremony, Salma had invited her mother Diana Jimenez to the service, while her brother Sami served as a witness. The actress did not want the world to know about her confusion. She perhaps wanted to share her happiness with a chosen few close ones who mattered the most.

A source said: “The bride was extremely beautiful, even when she was crying tears of joy. They were extremely happy. She said ‘Oui’ before about a dozen guests.”

Salma had started dating Francois-Henri in 2006. After calling off their engagement last July, they eventually decided to get back together after taking two romantic trips to the French capital.

Another source explained: “He’s the sweetest guy when he’s around her. He’s good to her, always with her. They take the baby everywhere with him. They’re happy together, totally in love.”
