Miley Cyrus had apologised for making ‘goofy faces’. She insisted that her, making such faces, had no ‘racial’ connotation whatsoever. But the Asian community does not seem to be satisfied with her apologies. The recent scandal might have scared the teen superstar who now wants to clear up the mess she has already created. Miley insists : “In NO way was I making fun of
any ethnicity! I was simply making a goofy face.”

The 16-year-old pop star had no other choice but to say sorry after photos of her and a group of male pals pulling on their eyes, were leaked on the internet. The picture showed Miley making Asian faces along with her friends in a mocking manner while one Asian-American sat among them. The picture infuriated the Organization of Chinese Americans. The OCA demanded immediate steps like serious apology from Miley for her damaging behaviour. Miley was not expected to behave so foolishly
since she might be aware of the number of fans she has in Asia alone.

Organization of Chinese Americans does not seem satisfied even after Miley attempted to make peace by insisting that she be pardoned as she was apologising “in the name of God”. Organization of Chinese Americans’ Director George Wu says, “It’s not a real apology. We’re not backing down without a fuller apology.” The organization says that her apology was “not enough”.

Miley has taken the long road through her blog. She writes on her blog : “I want to thank all of my fans for their support not only this week, but always! I really wanted to stress how sorry I am if the photo of me with my friends offended anyone,” Miley continued, “I have learned a valuable lesson from this and know that sometime my actions can be unintentionally hurtful. I know everything is a part of GODs [sic] ultimate plan, and mistakes happen so that eventually I will become the woman he aspires me to be. Peace and love, Miles.”

The ‘racist’ photograph as condemned by Asian American groups, shows Miley Cyrus and her friends, including boyfriend Justin Gaston, posing  for a photograph with their eyes shaped into slits in an attempt to look Asian. In a post on her website earlier Miley wrote justifying the photo saying : “I’ve also been told there are some people upset about some pictures taken of me with friends making goofy faces! Well, I’m sorry if those people looked at those pics and took them wrong and out of context!”
