The Jonas Brothers

The Jonas Brothers felt it really hard to strip off in their new film. The latest Jo-Bros film shows a shot where all the brothers are stripping off backstage during a performance. The film is shot while The Jo-Bros are changing during a concert in the film, in ‘Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience’. However The Jonas Brothers admit to the fact that they were not ready for the shot. They were reportedly taken aback after realising that something like that was actually happening with them.

The Jonas Brothers appear topless in their film. They were shot flashing their flesh and were caught on the cameras unawares. They were asked how they felt about it all and whose idea was it to bare them all. Joe replied to this : “That’s an interesting question. It was actually just everyone’s collaboration. We wanted to film everything backstage, and that just happened to be our quick-change room and they caught us. It was really funny.”

Nick also added that they were being filmed everytime and so at one point they literally forgot that they were being filmed and were part of a film based on their life. Nick added : “The thing is, we were in the midst of the show, so we were just continuing like a show. So when we went backstage, we didn’t realise they were there and we were changing … we went, ‘Oh my gosh! Wow! We might want to get them out of here.’ So it was in the moment!”

This film is a much anticipated massive film. The Jonas Brothers have overcome their shortcomings and shyness of baring their skin. They presently hope their fans would love their film. The musical all brothers band are keeping their fingers crossed and are very keen to get the response of their fans as soon as possible. Joe said: “We can only thank them. This movie is a thank-you to our fans.”

Superman

A rare Superman comic strip is now set to come up with high bids. The earlier bids for the rare copy of the comic book which introduced Superman to the world, were around $400,000 (£282,685). Comics lovers will have a great news to indulge and be happy with. The much adored superhero of all times will gain access to much lost stardom yet again.

The rare copy of the first issue of Action Comics is an unrestored version. It began selling fast on the internet. Bids started to rise high – ‘Up Up and Away’ that is. Fans are able to bid as well. The bidding will be open till March 13th. However the owner of the strip/book is kept under wraps. The reports suggest that the owner of the comic book had kept the book for 58 years after purchasing it for 35 cents (£0.25). The owner has not been named.

Bids quickly reached $US200,200 ($312,000) which is a real stunner for a forgotten comic strip culture.
The alleged book cover sure has the superhero (Superman) clad in his all famous blue suit with the uber famous red “S” embossed on it. Superman has his cape and is seen hurling a green car past terrified onlookers.

The auctioneers said : “Some books seem to go in and out of fashion. Action Comics Number One will never be one of those books.”

Chris Brown

Movie bosses are planning to reportedly drop Chris Brown from his upcoming movie’s promotional campaigns. Brown who is under scanner for his alleged involvement in bashing Rihanna is taking a dive into the darker territories. Brown was charged with criminal threats which took place after he attacked Rihanna in the early hours of 8 February (09).

Rapper and ‘Kiss Kiss’ hit maker, Brown has been dropped from the marketing campaign of his new movie following his behaviour and brawl with Rihanna. Chris’s image is reportedly undergoing a superior damage, more so because according to reports Rihanna was pregnant at the time she was hit by Brown. Chris Brown’s career has taken a nose dive. His increasing success rates in the ad world and his movie deals will be dampened. Chris has already been removed from ad giants, Wrigleys and America’s Got Milk?’s campaigns and promotions. Chris has also bid adieu to several radio stations’ playlists.

Chris is undergoing legal procedures and his case will come up in March. The trials will be on from March. Chris stars in the upcoming 2010 thriller where his co-stars are rapper T.I. and Hayden Christensen. Chris will now be removed from all forms of the movie’s campaign. These include movie posters, film trailer and TV adverts. The film bosses are very careful of their image and do not want to be involved in any kind of controversy by giving Chris a platform.

Jade Goody calmed by Jack Tweed

Jade Goody reportedly shouted at one of her neighbours while she was being taken to a hospice accompanied by her husband, Jack Tweed. Jade is seemingly very sad and depressed because she does not seem to like and bear her pain anymore.

Jade Goody was seen chewing on her ‘lollipop’ containing pain relievers as she was helped on to her Mercedes by hubby Jack Tweed to visit a hospice. In the midst of all this, Goody, suffering from terminal cancer, snapped at a male neighbour regarding a disagreement about a shared gate. Goody was in tears while shouting and literally screaming at her neighbour : “I’ll be dead in a month.”

Jade was seen outside after a long gap since she married Tweed on last Sunday. The wedding ceremony has reportedly made Jade very weak and exhausted. Jade is said to be in great agony. She screamed at the neighbour: “Chill out — I’m gonna be dead in a month.” Jack immediately came to her rescue and handed her her painkiller lolly. Then Jade was seen going back in tears and sat sobbing in the back of the silver Mercedes on her drive. Goody was helped out by two of her friends during the incident.

A witness revealed and explained the situation : “As Jade slowly made her way to the car she looked in a lot of pain. This man shouted something and she went mad and started screaming at him. He and Jade share a gate that he often has to go and close after people have left her house.”

Jade’s spokesman Max Clifford said: “She was in a very frail state. She’d had a terrible night on Thursday and was being taken to St Clare Hospice in Harlow to have her pain medication altered.”
Jade does not know how long she is here. None of her close friends and family are sure of the time she has to live. Mr Clifford said : “She knows it is just weeks. No one can say when exactly. She is being very brave.”

Salma Hayek

Salma Hayek who is regarded as a very devoted actor in the film industry reportedly cancelled her honeymoon with new husband Francois-Henri Pinault. The actress flew straight back from Paris soon after her French nuptials took place. Hayek who is scheduled for the shooting of her TV show 30 Rock did not feel the need to stay for her wedding rituals and customs any longer by missing out on her work.

Hayek who reportedly married her businessman boyfriend after a long courtship, was said to be more inclined to cancel their relaxing sessions after their very private wedding ceremony in the French capital. The couple together took the decision to cancel their post-wedding plans because Hayek was due to film her special guest spot on Tina Fey’s hit comedy series immediately afterward.

The news was however confirmed by Alec Baldwin. Alec co-stars alongside Hayek and is said to be playing her love interest in the show. Alec added : “She flew right from her wedding to come shoot with us again. Her husband is a doll”.

Tina Fey, the series creator added : “(Hayek) spent her honeymoon working with us! She told me, ‘You must go the parties with me and elope! You must party with me!’”

Hayek after cancelling her engagements plans several times, finally decided to marry Francois-Henri Pinault. The couple jointly parent their 16-month-old daughter, Valentina.

Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony are on with their legal proceedings against a British pram company. The couple are said to be suing the company on grounds of misusing their images in order to promote the company’s own brand. Marc and Jennifer are allegedly suing the company for $5 million (£3.47 million).

The couple filed a lawsuit at a Los Angeles district court on Wednesday, 25th of February. Their grounds were very clear. They stated in the suit that allegedly executives at Silver Cross had used one of their pictures in their company’s business and promotional purpose. The company had used a picture featuring Marc along with Jennifer with their one year old twins, Max and Emme, in their strollers without prior permission or notice. This is the sole reason for the duo settling down scores with them.

The lawsuit further states that the company had portrayed the stars’ images in a manner as to make it feel like they both endorsed their products which was simply not the case.

The British firm had used the family photograph for their online promos and other advertisements thus clearly deceiving the public and making them into “believing that Lopez and Anthony endorse and sponsor” the brand. The damage costs are sought by Marc and Jennifer. They have extiamted their damage costs to be in and around $5 million (£3.47 million).
They also claim that the company stalls their campaign and do not use the stars’ images further in their future company’s advertising and also their names and images not be used for any money making using the couple as unwitting spokesmodels.

Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow has blasted out at critics who maintained continuous attacks on Paltrow’s website. Paltrow feels that the ones who criticise about her website simply do not understand what her site actually portrays. Gwyneth claims that the critics of her site simply “don’t get it”.

The actress also felt that her website Goop.com had a focus and vision as any other normal website. But she was quite sure of the fact that the number of critics increased because they all were jealous of her success. Gwyneth explained : “I think the people who are criticising it or criticising the idea of it, don’t really get it, because if they did, they would like it.”

The New York Times newspaper had directly pointed out at the not up to the mark pointers of the actress’s website. They termed Goop.com as “fatuous and puzzling”. Gwyneth was asked about the reason which she felt was the reason for her being the target to which she just said : I think that people like people to stay in their ‘box’ – they like people to stay how they are comfortable seeing them. There’s nothing incendiary about it. I find it really interesting because it’s a harmless newsletter that goes out each week.”

Rihanna in Mexico

Rihanna has been hiding from paparazzi and crowd in general for several days now. The Bajan beauty has been snapped in Mexico. The ‘Umbrella’ hit maker has been hopping places in order to maintain her privacy. Rihanna’s pictures circulated after a long time since the brutal incident that left the 21 year old singer all bruised and battered. She was seen in Punta Mita, Mexico in the weekend gone by.

Rihanna has been hopping from Los Angeles to her native Barbados. She logged on and off from these places. Rihanna’s Mexican pictures were first printed on yesterday’s ‘New York Daily News’ and then it was seen in E! News.

Rihanna was seen bearing no more cuts or marks on her body as was seen on the pictures published on TMZ.com. Rihanna has been reportedly putting up at a private villa. The singer celebrated her 21st birthday bash in L.A. on Friday. The picture is the first public photo of Rihanna’s since the Feb. 8 altercation with Chris Brown which hospitalized her and changed her life forever.

The L.A. district attorney’s office stated yesterday that the investigations were still on and till now there has been no decision or charges being made. Chris Brown will be going under trial (for the criminal charges pressed against him) in March.

Antonio Banderas

Antonio Banderas has been pulled in by Woody Allen. Woody has worked with several global stars in the past. His recent film, ‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’ won the much coveted Oscar for Penelope Cruz who starred in the film.

Antonio has starred in several Hollywood films in the past. His very recent venture will be DreamWorks Animation sequel “Shrek Goes Fourth” in May 2010. Recently Antonio has starred in films like “The Other Man” and “Take the Lead.”

The global film world is converging and at a lightning speed.  There have been tie ups and co-direction ventures between Hollywood and World Cinema. But the present scenario will completely change the way people look at Awards and films.

Woody Allen has been taking care of international flavour in his films. “Slumdog Millionaire” had a successful crossover and merging flavour which is being cultivated and worked upon by many film producers and art houses. Woody is no different. The new film that would star Banderas will be filmed in London this summer. The schedules are yet to be finalised. The Woody Allen camp has as usual kept the plot a secret. Woody Allen’s offer (in the yet to be titled project) for Antonio Banderas now brings the Spanish actor join the wagon where Indian Freida Pinto, British-Australian Naomi Watts, American Josh Brolin and Welshman Anthony Hopkins already exist.

Robert Pattinson

When it comes to partying, the young star seems to be most enthusiastic. Robert Pattinson, the “Twilight” star, at least feels that when he is partying it must be from ‘Twilight’ to dawn.

At Patrick Whitesell’s recent bash Rob appeared with a beer constantly in hand, and showed no signs of moving away. Waving his hands towards his fans, the star said, “I’m planning on staying up all night. I’ve got a flight to Toyko in the morning, and there’s no point going to bed. I’m just going to pull an all-nighter!”.

Pattinson was found chatting for long with Jared Leto in the party. Other guests in the party included stars like Benicio Del Toro, Zach Braff, Mary-Kate Olsen, and Jeremy Piven.  Andre Balazs, a hotelier and Uma Thurman’s ex-boyfriend was caught  necking with Sharon Stone at Guy Oseary’s L.A. home on Sunday night. One of the guests mentioned, “They were on the couch by themselves literally all night. They couldn’t have been more into each other”.
