The legendary folk singer, Cohen has been forced to return on the musical road. Leonard Cohen will play his first U.S. concert in more than 15 years next month, a spokeswoman said on Tuesday. Cohen is forced to come out of his recluse because his business manager lost his retirement savings.

Cohen will perform with his 74 year old Canadian charm at the Beacon Theater in New York City on February 19. The tickets will be up for sale from Friday. The venue is a 2,800 seater. The news of whether Cohen will be game for more shows is yet to be confirmed. His spokesperson did not confirm this.

Cohen lives a life as a recluse. He had toured Canada and Europe since May. In the 90s after he finished his tours he had temporarily settled in a mountain region near Los Angeles to become a Buddhist monk. Presently he had planned a trekking session in New Zealand and throughout Australia.

Cohen’s former manager and lover Kelley Lynch misappropriated more than $5 million, reducing Cohen’s retirement account to $150,000. A Los Angeles court awarded him a $9 million civil judgment, but he has reportedly not been able to collect from Lynch.

Cohen is reverred as a post, a folk singer and a 1960s hero for the masses. He was a well known writer as well. Several songs written and sung by Cohen were later on performed by several artists.
