Drew Barrymore has revealed that she could get over the ghost of her childhood only because of Cameron Diaz. Drew who co-starred with Diaz in ‘Charlie’s Angel’s’ draws moral support. Drew insists that Diaz has been one of the most closest confidantes who helped Drew keep herself sane. Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz are known as the closest friends and they share a beautiful relationship. Cameron’s influence in Drew’s life has made the latter overcome the memories of her troubled childhood .
Drew stated: “Cameron’s one of the greatest friends anyone could ever have. She has so much love and positive energy to her. I’ve always felt like she’s my big sister.”
Drew was 15 when she had survived a suicide attempt. She had also been to the rehab several times as a teenager. At 16, the ‘Beverly Hills Chihuahua’ star was legally liberated from her parents, Jaid and John. She had started living alone at the tender age of 16.
Drew also reveled how her abnormal childhood made her different. She found it difficult(because of her unconventional upbringing) and improper to prepare herself for her adulthood. Drew said: “My father was literally out of his mind and my mother was more like a friend. She’d take me out to clubs and I wound up feeling like part of this very unreal kind of world. I didn’t have the kind of childhood which would have given me any perspective on what a happy home life or relationship would feel like. It left me without any bearing when it came to how to live in general.” Drew insists that she has overcome all that and forgotten everything she suffered from. She also insisted that she had forgiven her parents.
