Britney Spears spent a whopping $8.9 million on a new home. The global meltdown does not really affect the celebrities. The new mansion is located just outside Los Angeles.

Britney was seen preparing to leave her present home. Britney was seen taking toys and other items belonging to her sons Sean Preston, three, and Jayden James, two.

Britney’s old mansion will be sold for $7.195 million. The six-bedroom, six-bathroom Los Angeles home is in the process and talks of being sold. Property agents confirmed the house, which is in The Oaks community, is priced at $8.9 million - a reduction in its original cost.

The 27-year-old star confirmed on her Twitter account: “I just took my babies to our new home, and they loved it! I can’t wait to move in.” Britney is allowed to have two overnight stays with her sons. The kids when staying with their mother can have 10 bedrooms to themselves.

The house is 7,500 sq ft and boasts a wet bar, library, den, a swimming pool, spa, arbour, three garages, high ceilings, stone and mosaic tiled floors. It is also the property Britney was removed from when she was hospitalised during her breakdown last year.

Property agents said that the house was a real good reduction of it original cost. Britney said that she prepared fully to relocate much earlier. She wants to relocate to “a lower density, more quiet and less trafficked neighbourhood”. Britney’s new home is in The Oaks community.
