Benji Madden is over protective of his niece.He said he would warn his niece’s suitors with a gun if need be. His niece is just 11 months old and Benji is showing off his uncle protection for her suitors. Benji said that he is over possessive and over protective of his niece, Harlow.

Benji’s twin brother Joel’s daughter with Nicole Richie is her uncle’s most loving niece. The Good Charlotte rocker is said to be fiercely protective of Harlow. Benji said : “We’re lucky being twins, because Joel can be the good guy and I’ll be the bad guy.” Benji had earlier been in a serious relationship with Nicole’s close friend Paris Hilton. Benji is said to be amazed by his brother and Nicole’s super parenting success and excellent parenting skills.

He joked: “I’m going to be keeping a close eye on her. I’ll leave the shotgun right by the door.” Benji said that he would surely find it tough to retain his protective shield over his niece when she grows old and gets interested in boys.

Benji is a doting uncle and reveals his amazement in his brother and Nicole’s parenting care : “When they had her, their instincts just kind of came out, and it’s amazing to see. They just really put their child above everything.”
