Star Actor Kevin Bacon has been named as one of the several celebrity victims who got trapped in the $50 billion (£35 billion) fraud scandal rocking America’s Wall Street.

Bernard Madoff, the culprit was arrested on 8 December (08) on charges of securities fraud. Bernard is the former Nasdaq chairman who had allegedly frauded billions of dollars from his high society clients.

The scam allegedly started to fall apart once the clients started asking their money back. The clients were asking for a refund of their money because of the massive effect of the global crisis.

Kevin Bacon’s spokesperson, Allen Eichorn, tells New York Magazine, “I can confirm that they had investments with Mr. Madoff; no further specifics or comment beyond that (is available).”

Kevin Bacon now joins the list of victims of Madoff : Steven Spielberg, his DreamWorks Animation Skg partner Jeffrey Katzenberg, and Uma Thurman’s fiance, hedge-fund tycoon Arpad Busson and several other high profile investors. All of them have repirtedly lost millions to the fraud scam.

Bacon’s spokesperson Allen Eichorn however did not ellaborate on the losses or the extent of it bore by Bacon and his wife,actress Kyra Sedgwick : “Let’s not speculate or rely on hearsay.”

The Jonas Brothers

The Jonas Brothers have sparked security concerns. The Jonas Brothers have directed the New York City Police to increase the security measures. The musical brothers will perform at Times Square on New Years. They feel that their popularity with the crowd and fans would be a risk factor while they were performing.

They want a tight security back up specially designed for their security since the possibilities of them being mobbed are high and the risk will increase when they perform.

The Jonas Brothers will perform in the city as part of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve TV spectacular. The musical brother band have requested the New York City police to up the security measures for their New Years performance at Times Square. The singers feel that the arrangements made by the NY Police would be the best since they have heroically defended the city during terrorist attacks, riots and blackouts.

There would be other stars who would be performing alongside the Jonas Brothers. The highly popular Jonas Brothers are concerned about the crazed fans who would come to attend the big bash in the midst of winter chills and freeze. The fans would be mad and screaming and so the beefing of security was most required.

A source revealed the plannings made by the Jonas Brothers: “They’re now planning on using extra men for support. It’s going to be crazy.”

Scarlett Johansson

The dashing actress, Scarlett Johansson has claimed that she is “happy” that she could keep her marriage with Ryan Reynolds a secret. Scarlett married actor Ryan in a low profile marriage ceremony in September.

Her reason for the happiness is that she could tie the knot far away from public glare. Scarlett also said that she spent a lot of time planning on the intimate nuptials. Ultimately she decided and the ceremony took place at a far off and a remote resort near Vancouver, Canada.

Johansson has dared her fans with a nice suggestions. The actress said that she does not tear her hairs off thinking about aging. Scarlette felt that when she starts aging she would get more challenging roles. The 24 year old actress says she would be rather happy to allow her growth to be taken positively.

She explained: “I look forward to the opportunity aging will bring. I feel like the hype that comes with being young in the industry will kind of dissipate and that there are some really good roles in my future. Then again, I say that as an actor who thinks every job is their last job.”

Scarlett also said that she respected Drew Barrymore because of the latter’s ability to do what she loved the most. Drew Barrymore was Scarlett’s co-star in ‘He’s Just Not That Into You’. Scarlett explained : “Drew makes movies that she likes, that she is proud of, that people love, that are entertaining. I would love to be able to do that someday, have a production company and encourage other directors and writers to follow their vision.” Scarlett’s love and respect for her co-star is evident in her words. Scarlett’s eagerness and earnestness sure would help her climb the ladders of glorious stardom with the changing times.

Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston who spent the Christmas eve with David and Courtney Arquette has been invited by the Arquette family to stay over and join them for the New Years. Jen will be in Mexico over the weekend. Aniston arrived in Los Cabos over the weekend. She plans to raise the toast here along with boyfriend John Mayer, David and Courteney Cox Arquette and their little daughter Coco.

Mayer has reportedly arrived armed with his brothers. The Mexican resort town of Los Cabos will be full with a big close knit get together. Jennifer’s plans ensure a not so faraway travel. Jennifer had a close post Christmas dinner with boyfriend John Mayer at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills on Dec. 26. The couple were not together during Christmas. So the New Years are well planned so that the New Years eve kisses fly in abundance. Mayer flew over to Mexico and close sources said that John plans to stay over through the New Year.

Jennifer is making it a tradition to spend festive time with her closest friends, the Arquettes. She had spent her Christmas Eve with them at Mastro’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills. Jennifer shares a very intimate frinedship with Courtney and David since her early days of career. Aniston and Mayer are staying in places that have close proximity. They chose to stay in seperate residences. Their residing places would although be a short drive away. John and Aniston’s residences will be connected by a private beach, which would be ideal for long beach walks.

Lindsay Lohan Samantha Ronson

Samantha Ronson is reportedly up on her feet, doing perfectly fine. Sam is enjoying her life after a tryst with the medics and the hospital. Sam and Lindsay chilled out at the Louis Bar Miami at Gansevoort South on Monday night. A Lindsay friend revealed that the duo would celebrate New Year’s Eve deejay gig at Mansion. The Lindsay friend also said that the couple “seemed really relaxed.”

Samantha shocked people by springing back to her healthy life. She is reportedly avoiding food from the airport restaurants. Sam told People : “I’m doing much better…” She just came out form a visit at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Dec. 21. She later said all her health problems were related to extreme exhaustion. “Lots of sleep, movies and meals outside of airports will do wonders!”

Samantha and Lindsay are relaxing together rubbishing all news of a possible rift in their relationship. A friend has revealed that Sam had nothing to do with Lindsay’s blogs. The friend  simply slammed Michael Lohan’s claims by saying : “Lindsay loves her MySpace blogs,” and everything on there comes directly from her.”

Steven Gerrard

England mid-fielder Steven Gerrard who is regarded as a supreme soccer star has messed up his career with a brawl in Lounge Inn bar-restaurant. The ace 28 year old Liverpool star could well face up to five years in jail. He was arrested after being charged with assault last night over a punch-up in which a DJ was beaten.

Gerrard was with his friends celebrating his team’s victory over Newcastle on Sunday. He also celebrated for his two goals and a good 5-1 thrashing of Newcastle. All hell broke loose when Gerrard asked the DJ to hand him the playing card which allows one to change the music. DJ Marcus refused to hand him the card saying he could not alter the music policy.

A party witness said : “The whole thing lasted less than ten seconds. Gerrard was pulled out of the scrapping and it turned into a free-for-all…” Witnesses also said that there have been brawls earlier in the bar.

British soccer fans are shocked for Gerrard’s behaviour. England team boss Fabio Capello has already considered Gerrard for the 2010 World Cup.

Gerrard broke into a fight where part-time DJ Marcus McGee, 34, was wounded and needed four stitches to head wounds. Witnesses said there were Blood and shards of broken glass everywhere. The punch up took place on the floor of the pub which left England soccer hero Gerrard in police custody.

A shocked witness said: “Someone made a comment and it all went off.” Gerrard is believed to have gone through nine hours of police grilling.

Gerrard’s violent brawl comes after a few days when he spoke of the need for a crackdown on violence.

Gerrard who earns a whopping £120,000-a-week is reverred by young footballers for his 70 England caps feat.

DJ Marcus McGee was rushed to hospital after fighting broke out in the Lounge Inn bar-restaurant at around 2.30am yesterday.

Detectives reportedly spoke to witnesses and  rummaged through CCTV from the bar and surrounding streets.

Gerrard’s mansion home in Formby is close by from the crime scene. Marcus the DJ was with his friends who had an argument with Gerrard’s mates.

The witness said : “Marcus stepped in as peacemaker and it calmed down for a while. Everyone was drinking and having a good time. But when Marcus’s mates left, he was on his own and it was then that him and Gerrard started rowing by the dance floor.”

Dad-of-two Gerrard has captained England four times. Days ago he wrote a special Prayer for Liverpool for the city’s Anglican Cathedral. It read: “My hope for Liverpool for 2009 would be an end to gun and knife crime, making the city a place our kids can grow up to be proud of.”

Tchaikovsky the Russian composer of the 19th-century will be paid tribute on his own table and wooden house. The world renowned musician’s compositions will be revived in a wobbly table in a blue wooden house overlooking silver birch trees. The environs of Tchaikovsky’s last residence boasts of his compositions that have spellbound generations of music lovers of all ages.

Pyotr Tchaikovsky, whose “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies” in the “Nutcracker” ballet have delights children and adults. His last residence was in the small town of Klin, about 85 km (60 miles) northwest of Moscow.

Tchaikovsky’s home has now turned into a museum that commemorates the great musician’s life and compositions. Natalia Gorbunova, chief researcher and head of the museum spoke of the growing number of visitors and the number of Tchaikovsky fans who are ushered along the house’s squeaky oak floors is steadily increasing. “Tchaikovsky’s music is undergoing a revival now, in our time, because his music is loved by the whole world, and this love continues,” she said. According to Natalia last year there were 86,000 visitors, up from 60,000 in 2003. She said this year the numbers are bound to increase.

Tchaikovsky has been termed as a populist musician several times in his entire life. Critics often derided his fame and power. Tchaikovsky enthusiasts firmly feel the timeless appeal and the mass influence of the Russian master composer’s compositions were extremely intimate in form.

Every year renowned musicians and composers come to Klin to play the piano for the May 7 birthday of the composer, who lived from 1840 to 1893. Gorbunova noted the number of Europeans and Asians, particularly Korean, is up. The international Tchaikovsky classical music competition in Moscow celebrated its half-century in spring with concerts being played to sold-out halls.

“No one can be indifferent to Tchaikovsky’s music,” Muscovite pianist Mikhail Mordvinov, 31, told before creating some Tchaikovsky on his piano while he paid tribute to his god.

Peter Andre

Peter Andre is working hard to make everything right for his upcoming record. Andre’s New Year resolution will be to make his album hugely successful.

The 35-year-old star said that he is striving hard for a desperate fame. He has planned a grand May release. Andre wants his album to be an instant hit.

Peter has a family with his wife Katie Price and three children. Andre also desires to have sex as the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s Eve. Andre said that he would love to involve people in his party but that would be made possible only if he and Katie were disguised.

He added: “I’d like us to go to a masked party where no one knew who we were. I’d have sex with Katie in front of people if no one recognised us.” Peter revealed that it has been his dream to make love to his wife Katie Price as the new year begins but only if he can time it right.

Peter says he and his wife are still unsure as where to spend their 2009. He said: “I want to go to Australia, but I don’t think we’ll be able to as we’re going to America in January, so I think it’ll all be too tight.”

On a recent reality show of his own(Katie & Peter: The Next Chapter), Andre revealed that he is working on a super solo album. He also said that with the album his hopes would reach an ‘aspiration goal.’

Andre also revealed in the show that he and his wife Katie Price would work and plan on another joint album for charity due to the success of their first album A Whole New World.

The mean girls star probably got too heated up with her dad’s comments on her and Samantha Ronson.

She was seen buying the stuff alongside Samantha Ronson. She seemed excited to buy the black two-piece.

Lindsay and her girlfriend Samantha were famously snapped cozying up on a Mexican beach holiday.

So it’s skimpy bikini time for Lindsay as the star feels it is probably the right time to wear one !

Samantha Ronson has denied Lindsay’s father’s claims that she was the one who wrote Lindsay’s blog. Michael Lohan, Lindsay’s estranged father claimed that Samantha was all evil. He also claimed that he was “99 per cent” sure that Samantha wrote the MySpace entry. Samantha Ronson has said that she was not aware of the post. She also said that she had nothing whatsoever to do with the blog about which Michael was talking so much to the media.

Samantha said: “Ha! That’s funny, but I don’t ghost-write My Space blogs. Good thing he left that one per cent window open so he wasn’t 100 per cent wrong for once.”

Michael has created a website of his own that claims to bring out truth and only truth about himself.

The post on Lindsay’s MySpace page read : “My father just let my family and me know, amongst other things, that he had another child after my little sister Aliana.

“He cheated on my mother and that really sucks… MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!” This post infuriated Michael and he lashed out at Samantha and stated to the media that he would set things right. He said that he would do everything possible to save his image which was being tarnished by Samntha, Lindsay’s girlfriend.

Michael Lohan is all set to write daily posts and chat live every Monday at 9pm on his website. He claims that the site is well designed to “set the record straight” and is not a vehicle to vent his own frustrations toward his daughter and her girlfriend.

He wrote: ”I have no intention of disclosing any information or feelings I may have about either one of them unless it is in defence of what they or one of their ‘mouthpieces’ might say about me. If that includes dispelling some things said of me in the media, so be it.”

Senior Lohan ended his post with a strange  biblical quote from Romans 2:8-10: “For those who are self seeking and who reject the Truth and follow evil, there will be wrath.

“There will be trouble and distress for those who do evil, but glory, honour and peace for anyone who does good.”
