Kylie Minogue, the popular pop singer wants to prove her talents in a comedy role. The pint-sized singer, first found fame after appearing in the popular TV soap Neighbors, after which she launched her successful pop career. The pop star has hinted in a press meet that she would like to land in a comedy role.

“I’m starting to think acting would be good – I’d love to do a comedy”, The Sun newspaper reported her telling an Argentine TV show. Kylie  also added, “I’ve done a few little comedy bits and pieces as a guest on different shows and I love it. It’s not that well known that I’m funny, but I am. People who know me will tell you”.

Minogue, who has appeared in the award-winning film Moulin Rouge! in 2001 and last year’s Doctor Who Christmas special, said she hated being stereotyped as either an actress or singer. “I started out as an actress and I thought if I was lucky that would be my career, because it’s notoriously difficult to do well”, she said in despair. “Then I started singing and I was in that weird space where people say, ‘You can’t be a singer, you’re an actress’”.
