Boyzone the once uber famous boy band got themselves busy in a boozy brawl with Rihanna’s band. The Nineties pop idols Boyzone, were in Australia for a visit. They were in a six hour booze binge when they tangled with members of superstar Rihanna’s band.

Trouble started when one of the Irish singers started chatting with a girl in Rihanna’s team in Sydney. Things went out of hand when Rihanna’s boyfriend took offence “…and all hell broke loose with fists flying everywhere…”, adds a close source. The source added : “Security came to break it all up. They got a stern talking to.”

The re-formed Boyzone were not even able to stand up straight. They were reportedly unsteady on their feet when the incident occurred.

Boyzone’s Stephen Gately later joked: “Well, we did get into a fight – certainly more than a difference of opinion. We are keeping up that fine image of the Irish and too much booze.

“It was over a girlfriend of one of Rihanna’s band members. We just wanted to chat and be friendly and this guy tries to rough us up.

“It was his girl and then all the other guys from the band start getting fresh with us – so it was on there and then.”
