Russell Crowe

The much publicised cerebral star, Russell Crowe is more cardiac it seems when it comes to promote the cause of humanity and charity.

Russell Crowe, the ace actor has revealed his desire to donate the head of hair which he grew for months. He wants to donate to Locks of Love, an organisation that makes wigs for young cancer patients.

He wants to spread love and help for the growth of the charity by donating his ponytail.

The actor grew his hair for his role as Robin Hood in Nottingham. The role needed his hair-do and he had grown attached to his hair. But he is more than excited to do the honours for the lovely cause.

Locks of Love is a great charity foundation that provides hair to the ones who are financially unstable. The work is done for children in the United States and Canada who are under age 18 and suffer from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis.

Stars like Ann Curry and Katie CouricIn have helped spread awareness in the past, for the organization by donating their own locks.

Russell’s locks need to reach a minimum of 10 inches before he can donate his hair. Close sources reveal that the Oscar winner has expressed his desire to be of some help for the underprivileged sick children. Soon after the shoot of his forthcoming epic period movie,”Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham” the star will have his hair cleanly removed for the good cause Locks of Love.
