Christina Applegate avoided hugs to hide cancer from co-stars

Applegate the Emmy winning Broadway star revealed her breast cancer in August this year. Christina underwent ablation and revealed her post-diagnosis details in July,2008.
She has major roles in Pictures to go by her name. Farce of the Penguins,
Anchorman, The Sweetest Thing are a few. Her career in Broadway music revival of ‘Sweet Charity’ took home the 2005 Theatre World Award
and nominated for several other awards. Her future project includes “Everything Is Going to Be Just Fine”
which is due to be released in 2009. She plays Elizabeth Montgomery(The Bewitched star who played the central character Samantha Stephens) who died of colorectal cancer, in the upcoming film. She has told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres that she feared from revelation of her disease. She avoided hugs for several weeks and wanted to build a wall in order to avoid all contact. She has also revealed how painful it was to have gone through the diagnosis and yet keeping it a secret. She feels better each day as she has undergone a cancer free surgery. Applegate also said that she went back to work on her sitcom,Samantha Who? but had strict orders for her make up artists. “I told my makeup and hair people and people that are really close
to me just so I had a protection wall so that no-one was pushing me,” she said.
The 36 year old Californian actress was born in Hollywood and has an established television and film career.
She is presently relaxed and much relieved,as she tells DeGeneres, “…but now I’m good. I’ll grab you”.
DeGeneres told Applegate,”I’m going to hug you a bunch during this commercial break…”
