Al Pacino admits that he and Robert DeNiro used to hate each other during their earlier days. They had a serious rivalry. “There’s no rivalry now but there was when we were younger,” Pacino was quoted as saying by thesun.co.uk. This seems like a bit of soul searching as their latest release had a zero effect on the audience and the BO.

The rivalry seems to have seeped in even in Righteous Kill because of the dead/loose script and cliched acting coming strangely from the legendary actors taking away the charm from their supposedly  dual impact power project. The two legendary actors Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro have just come out of a Righteous Kill at the box office  which does not seem so righteous after all.

It seems a bit strange that none of them found a script proper to feature together like a deadly duo
for such a long time. And such is the case that when they did find a script, it bombed without giving the slightest hint. May be the rivalry of younger days have evidently crept into their joint project.
