Bon Jovi Live in New York

Last Saturday Bon Jovi gave a live concert to his fans by performing free at Central Park. The show was part of the last leg of a grueling tour that started in New Jersey. As part of its “Lost Highway” tour Bon Jovi and company will also perform at Madison Square Garden on Monday and Tuesday.

Central Park has been a host to only a handful of performances like that of Garth Brooks, Pope John Paul II, Paul Simon and Barbra Streisand. The band therefore felt that they were privileged to be up there with the greats since only a handful of performances took place on the venue. Even though the tickets of the said concerts were free and New York City officials had distributed some 60,000 of them yet there were still some who hawked their tickets on eBay for as much as $1500 for two.  However this didn’t act as a damper to the New York spirit. According to Bon Jovi they tried to share the experience with their fans and they did what they do best belting out char busters like “Livin’ on a Prayer” “Born to be my Baby,” “Lost Highway,” and “Runaway.” The band has been entertaining their fans for almost 2 decades now with sales up to a 100 million records worldwide.
